Fixing up of muhurtha for marriage clarification requested

Dear members,

 

Parents of bride wanted to fix a day in the middle of July 2010 for the

marriage of their daughter and I suggested 14th of July. but the bridegroom's

party wanted it to be done on 15th july.

 

As the thithi is chathurthi, star poorvapalguni,yoga Vyatipata, and

moon in eigth from boy's rasi i did not approve. They were adamant and wanted to

perform only on 15th.with much reluctance I fixed the muhuirtham between 6-45

and 7-30 am Cancer lagna. as mercury is in lagna , lagna aspected by Jupiter,

Venus in 2nd and Saturn is in 3rd on that day

 

but even this was not accepted by the bridegroom party and they have

fixed Kanya lagna between 10-30 am and 11-00 Am. With Saturn in Lagna and

Jupiter in 7th.

 

In academic interest I request learned members to give their opinion

1. Whether my fixing Cancer is correct or not ( in such exigencies)

 

2, whether the kanya lagna is preferable than cancer if so the reason

i am of the opinion that kataka lagna would be better since 7th from rasi as

well

as lagna are vacant. In kanya lagna saturn is aspecting the 7th house and

in navamsa 7th is occupied by jup and rahu and from moon 7th is occupied

by saturn.
