Guest guest
Eunuch in Hindu Astrology – a study.  The following are the collected meaning of a ‘Eunuch’ A gender category involving non-sexual individuals (usually men), who may be castrated or merely celibate, sterile, or lacking sexual desire;  A male whose organs of generation have been so far removed or disorganized, that he is rendered incapable of reproducing his species;  A castrated human male; such a man employed as harem guard or in certain (mainly Eastern) monarchies (e.g. late Roman and Chinese Empires).  Let us see what is available in astrology sciptures:  In Sloka 23 inAdyaya III in ‘Jathaka Parijatha’ –also abridging ‘Saraavalli’ Suthras – say, ‘the following are the six Planetary positions tending severally to the production of a eunach:  1. The Sun and the Moon in opposition positions and therefore mutually aspecting ( this will be in the chart for those born in Chathurdasi or Pournami or Prathama); 2. Mercury and Saturn in opposition and so mutually aspecting; 3. Mars in opposition to Sun, the Sun being in even sign; or the Sun in even sign, being aspected by Mars (Mars being in any sign); or, the Sun in an even sign in opposition or square to Mars position, or in quincunx aspect; 4. The Moon and the lagna being in odd signs and aspected by Mars (which means affliction by mars being in square to one and in quincunx to another); 5. The Moon in an even sign and Mercury in an odd sign both being aspected by Mars ( the worst among all above) 6. Venus, the Moon and the Lagna occupying Navamsa belonging to odd signs.' The above six Yogas (combined effects by positioned planets) at the time of copulation will result in nothing. The coition will be fruitless and if any of the above Yogas are found in the horoscope of male or female, the couple will not be producing any child at all. (This is the meaning of ‘KLEEBA’)  These are most unfavorable and detrimental to conception and a cause for breaking marriages due to inefficient bed time compatibility.  Further, these are to be studied for prediction from Adhana Lagna or Prasna Lagna and not merely checking horoscopes.  It is requested that all astrologers who check charts for marriage ‘compatibility’ must refer to these, to avoid break of marriage due to this reason, while matching the charts.  Pathi  A.V.Pathi,  Astrologer, specialising in Marriage match, Family problems, Education, Health, Progeny, Finance, and Litigation, etc., (Old 13) 25, Dr. Gopalakrishna Road.
