" Forget KN Rao's BVB or BVR's ICAS , even best scientists of world could never predict anything with so high degree of accuracy, KN Rao's another failure is that he produced Mouji like students, Vedic Astrology says - Planets, Places and People are connected. " Good to hear this. Every week Bejan Daruwallah ( in STOI) had been predicting a great week for my zodiacal sign. I am still waiting for it to happen. This is not to deny that there had been accurate predictions made by unknown people (or was it mind reading meaning they were reading or feeding my hopes?). 2. We in the domain of astrology have lost the opportunity to establish Jyotish as a proven science, I thought it (astrology or mind reading) was more an individual propensity than a science. 3. " Jyotish can find place of a most perfect science (vigyaan) only by correct principles and accurate predictions " The failure becomes apparent when we look at the predictions statistically (ratio of the number of predictions to the number of hits). To qualify as science reproducibility and testability are essential requirements. Don't worry! I consider theoretical astronomy (big bang, singularity etc.) also as science fiction! Typically astrologers predicted the death of a close relative at least two weeks ahead of the event. On the other hand intuitively I hit the bull's eye almost to the hour. I would not go by any astrologer's advice for important decisions. skb.
