Guest guest
Namaste, With each avastha, there is an intensity with 3 levels - cheshta (full), drishti (medium), vicheshta (little). It is determined based on the first akshara (letter) of the name. Please see page 193 in the textbook " Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach " for the definition. That textbook can be freely downloaded in PDF format at http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/articles * * * Take Indira Gandhi as an example. The letter " i " is associated with number 2. So take intensities from column 2. Her 5th and 10th lord Mars is in Prakasana avastha (glowing), which is good for boldness and success in career. Intensity is Cheshta (full) in the column corresponding to 2. So the result of Mars being in Prakasana avastha is given fully. Though 7th lord Saturn is also in Prakasana avastha, his intensity for group 2 is " Vicheshta " , i.e. little. * * * As another example, take Swami Vivekananda. His original name was Narendranath. He was later known as Vivekananda. The consonant n is 2 and the consonant v is 1 (see the table in book). Swamiji had Mars in moolatrikona in Prakasana avastha, showing fiery and aggressive nature. The 6th lord (service) Venus is also in Prakasana avastaha joined by the 10th lord Mercury, but Mercury and Venus are in Vicheshta (little) with a name with number 2. After he was known as Vivekananda, Mars's Prakasana avastha intensity changed from cheshta (full) to drishti (medium), curbing his aggressive nature. Venus and Mercury changed from vicheshta (little) to Cheshta (full), making their results related to speech, service and work full.
