Guest guest
SRIAMATHE BHOOMIDEVI SAMETHA SRIMATH UPPILIAPPN THIRUVADIGALE SARANAM Dear Bhakthas, What Srimathi Suchitra Chelladurai has mentioned is a Nithyaradhanai Kattalai Scheme which is prevalent in quite a few temples in and around Kumbakonam. You pay a sum of Rupees One thousand or so and indicate a date. This sum is expected to be deposited in a bank and the interest accruing out of the same is used to perform the Nithyaradhanai on that day in the temple every year. The sum may vary from temple to temple. It is Rupees one thousand in Uppiliappan Koil. There may be more than one person in a day and their names are written on a board in Uppiliappan Koil on that particular day every year stating donors for Nithyaradhanai. Sriman U Ve Velukkudi Krishnan Swamigal and Srimathi Y G Parhtasarathy ( Rashmi) and others have formed a committee to ensure that Nithyaradhanai is performed in all Divyadesams. All those who are interested towards the above can contact them, get the details and then pass on their donations to the above Kainkaryam. I have a few suggestions which may be considered by the Bhagawathas. All the Divyadesams should be as GLORIOUS as they were in the past and should continue to be so in future as well. Nithyaradhanai, Sevas, Thirumanjanams and the Uthsavams should be performed regularly. Every temple should have Bhattachars and they should be paid well, provided with quarters and the education of their children taken care of. This will ensure that the Bhattachars are free from worries and will perform all the poojas with complete involvement. It is suggested that a core group be formed with the head quarters at Madras. This group can identify and form area wise and temple wise sub groups. These temple wise groups can be called as Kainkarya sabha of that temple. They will be responsible for the Nithyaradhanai etc of that temple, collection of funds for that temple, investing them and utilising them for the Nithyaradhanai etc. Areawise subgroup can ensure that Temple wise sub groups are formed and guide them in performing Nithyaradhanai etc. This will help in ensuring that the temples in an area follow more or less the same procedure. These temples can straight away introduce Nithyaradhanai Scheme and get devotees for all the 365 days of the year. This will ensure that there is sufficient fund for Nithyaradhani on all days of the year. Even if there is demand for more than one person for a particular day it should be accepted and the aim should be to collect 365 Nithya Aradhanai Kattalais so that Nithya Aradhanais can be performed throughout the year. All the temples had lands of their of their own, especially in Tanjore District. It is difficult to retrieve these lands. But the persons who are enjoying them can be approached and may be requested to contribute every year so many bags of paddy etc and this will help in prasadam preperations and as a supplement to bhattachar family as well who will be responsible to prepare nithya prasadam for the deities. Quite a few temples require renovation. The central core group and the area wise sub groups can identify the temples and draw up the plan for the renovation. The major work in this will be collection of funds and all the Bhagawathas can contribute towards the same. It may not be possible to renovate all the temples at the same time. So it is necessary to prioritise these temples based on the physical condition of the buildings. Two or three temples can be taken at a time for renovation. We can ensure that there is only one temple in an area at a time to ensure concentration on that temple in that area. In a few years all the temples requiring renovation can be renovated. There should be seperate contribution for this on monthly basis from all to ensure that there is no shortage of funds once the renovation work is started. By this effort the buildings in all temples can be restored to their original glory. I have just put down my thoughts for consideration. These can be improved upon by suggestions by you. MAY SRIMAN NARAYANA GUIDE US IN THIS AND HELP US IN RESTORING THE GLORY OF DIVYADESAMS. As suggested by Sriman Sadagopan we can start with the DivyaDesams in Tamil Nadu. Guest guest
Dear Bhakthas, There is a correction to the information given by me in the earlier amil. The committee formed by Sriman Velukkudi Krishnan Swamigal and others contribute to the DivyaDesams for the performance of Thirumanjanam and Aradhanai on every Sravanam day in the temple. They may be approached to widen their scope and include Nithyaradhanai also. Seperate contributions may be made for this and with this Nithyaradhanai can be performed in all temples, where there is paucity of funds to perform Nithyaradhanai.
