Guest guest
SRIMAN NARAYANA NAMAHA! Temples dating back to several thousands of years and thronged by Alwars who gave Mangalasasanams in praise of the dieties and also the surroundings are known as Divyadesams. Of the 108 divyadesams 2 are not reachable in human form. One ie., Salagramam is in Nepal and 8 more or in Northen part of INdia. Ahobilam and Thirumala are in Andhrapradesh. 11 are in Kerala. Remaining 82 are in Tamilnadu. We are really fortunate to have them in Tamilnadu. But not all of them are in good shape. Though many of them are endowed with lands and properties, there are some needing the care of Bhakthas. The condition of some temples are pathetic. Visitors to these temples are pleaded for even oil for lamps, Kolamavu etc. Some temples stink as the premises are not cleaned for days. The praharams are not walkable. The Compounds need to be painted. Minor repairs are to be carried out. The Temple staff are also very poor and the meagre income or renumeration they get does not allow them to concentrate in the temple rituals. Not all divyadesams are facing these hardships. Some of them are maintained by Ahobila Mutt, Vanamamalai Mutt, TVS Group and some private parties. Govt. also controls some through H & RCE Dept. It is heartening to note that in the recent times no of visitors to these divyadesams have gone up very high. But the lack of facilities and temples not kept open during their visits deprives them the darshan of the Lord. Often their travel plan gets upset. It is because the Bhattacharyas some times have to look more than one temple. It is in this connection this appeal is made to Bhakthas to liberally donate for the betterment of those divyadesams who merit our attention. This is a godly sent opportunity for us to part take insuch kainkaryams for the divyadesams. Please donate liberally. Please canvas support from your neighbours, relatives, friends, Clubs, Industrial Houses etc. Any contribution kind or cash will help this noble cause. Don't get soaked.
