Free Laddu Scheme launched at Tirumala

TIRUPATI, MAY 12, 2007 (TIRUPATITIMES.COM)

TTD which manages the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala near here today launched the historic free laddu prasadam scheme to distribute one laddu of 175 grams, now sold for Rs.25, each to the common devotees at free of cost.

Marking the most auspicious occasion of Lord Hanuma Jayanthi, TTD Chairman, Mr. B. Karunakara Reddy has formally inaugurated the scheme at simple ceremony held on the hills this afternoon. TTD Executive Officer, Mr. K.V.Ramana, Trustee, Mr. O.Ramana, TTD PRO, Mr. P.Ramapulla Reddy and DPP member, Mr.V.V.Sharma were also present on the occasion.

About one crore common devotees would be provided with free laddus annually, Mr. Reddy told. http://www.tirupatitimes.com/
