Tommorow 21.05.2007 Swamy Namalwar( Our kulapathy) thiruavathara urchavam is starting. Here Adiyen is narrating the important event of festival with my limited knowledge.

 

 

Alwar Thiruavathara urchavam will be celebrating in Alwarthirunagari. Speciality of these urchavam is that Jeeyars of 4 mutts are celebrating it.

 

 

Ahobila Mutt Jeeyar Thirukurungkudi Jeeyar Alwarthirunagari Emperumannar Jeeyar Vanamaamalai Jeeyar

 

 

First and second day Alwar purapadu to Thirukungkudi madam where thirumanjanam to Alwar. From there night vahana purapadu.

 

Important of second day , In front of manavalammunigal, Thirumanjanam is performing to Alwar and In Night Vedhi purapadu, Manavalamamunigal Ghosti. Manavalamamunigal will lead Divyaprabhandham Ghosti.

 

Third Day alwar purapadu to Vanamamalai mutt where prasadam ghosti.

 

Fifth Day all Navathirupathy Emperumann will be received by Namalwar, Thirumanjanam, and in night vahana purpapadu. Nine garudan with respective divyadesa Emperumann, Namalwar with Hamsa Vahanam and madhurakavi Alwar with Paranki Narkali. Receiving and sent off ( Alwar Mangalaasasanam ) with Arayar sevai can not be explained in words. Namalawar alagu with all navathirupathy Emperumann parivattan and prasadam again can not be explained in words.

Sixth day morning Sent off ( Alwar mangalasasanam) to all Navathhirupathy Emperumann. First managalasasanam to Perungulam perumal, because distance is more.

Then the same order of receiving.

 

While receiving and sent off time Alwar will do pradarsanam to Emperumann after receiving parivattam, Theertha prasdam from respective divyadesa Emperumann.

 

While sent off time Alwar will see devarpiran of Erattai Thirupathy( Tholaivilli managalam) emperumann until perumal disappeared from Sannadhi street.. No one should cross that time Sannadhi Street. Because namalwar considered Devarpiran as his father and mother. Pasuram ( 6.5.11).

 

 

Seventh day, Alawr purappadu to udiyavar koil where thirumanjanam with udiyavar in Ekasimhasanam.

 

Eighth day Alwar purapadu to Appan koil near Erattai Thirupathy where Alwar is showing Thavalntha Krishnan ( Cradle baby) Thirukolam to his father and mother

( Karimaran and udiyanangai). Sangu pall Ghosti.

 

Ninth day gold ratham.

 

Tenth day Theertha vaari ( Vaikasi visakam) in Tamparaparani River back side of Narasimhar Sannadhi. From there udiyavar koil where Alawr is wearing thiruman kappu. From there alwar purapadu to koil ( main temple) with udiyavar.

 

In Adhipiran Sannadhi SaRRumara Ghosti with udiyavar and Alwar.

 

In Night, Perumal and Alwar purapadu in Vetriver Sapparam with Udiyavar Ghosti . Udiyavar will lead Divyaprabhandam Ghosti. Urchavam Completed.

 

11 th day Kandapadi urchavam in Manavalamamunigal sannadhi.

 

12th Day Alwar purappadu to Lakshmana Thoppu near Thirukolur.

 

Adiyen has recorded Alwar urchavam 10 days , CD with Sri Srinivasan of Bahrain. Bahrain Bhagavadas enjoy CD and get blessing from NamAlwar.

Swamin, I stand deeply touched with the beautiful rendering of the 10 day Utsavam of Swami Nammalwar at Alwar Thirunagari. In the last paragraph there is a mention of CD. I believe the CD captures the total 10 day Utsavam. I am siincerely interested in purchasing this CD.
