Guest guest
Hello Sir/Madam, There is no need to ask any apologies and thank you very much for your concern and I too feel sorry for drafting in such a way. But my intention is not to hurt or encourage such kind of attitudes. This establishment is only for them, those who do not have any support as you have mentioned (whether they have no children or relatives). We will consider your valuable input while processing this holy process. Thanks and Regards Ranganathan Padma Krishnamurthy <peakaymurthy_21 ; evnarasimhanSent: Monday, 10 September, 2007 8:07:38 PMRe: Reg: Ingimedu Sri Perundevi Nayika Sameta Sri Varadarajar and Sri Ramar Temple Reconstruction Dear Sir, I refer to your mail about renovation of Ingimedu temple and creation of a Patashala. There was one particular activity you had mentioned which had been troubling me from morning. . You had mentioned about a home for the aged and would like to know whether inmates will be screened carefully to check whether they have no children or relatives to provide for them. By creating so many old age homes, some of them comparable to 3 star hotels, are we not encouraging the younger generation to walk away from their responsibilities in pursuit of higher career and better life overseas/ within India? I cannot accept that our responsibilities to our parents end with providing them with food, medicines and shelter and argue that these homes give better care than us. It is the two words of affection from us and 5 minutes of hand holding every day which keeps them alive. If money is the criteria, our parents could have saved substantial portion of their earnings by sending us to corporation schools and force us to earn our livelihood after 10th or 12th class. The government may bring about any number of legislations but enforcement is never assured. I am sure you must be having enough checks to prevent such happenings. Please accept my apologies if my idea is found objectionable. Thanks & Best Regards, Padma DELETE button is history. Unlimited mail storage is just a click away.
