Assistance in understanding what pooja should be done and how.....

Dear Respected Sirs and Adiyens: I have several questions with respects to worship, what we can and can not do. I am a Sri Vaishnava, Vadagalai, Kousika Gothram. Presently I am doing Laghu Aaraadhanam daily. 1. Can we do worship to Vigraham. I have a Rajarajeshwari Statue made of bronze in addition to all the small silver krishna's, and 108 Sahligram Shilas. Can we do pooja to Rajarajeshwari? How are we meant to do this and do we have to install any such vigraha first. 2. I also have a Sudarshana with Yoga Nrishma on the back (both approximately 9 inches in height). How do we install this vigraha and can we do pooja to this one too? 3. I was told that there was additional Aaraadhanam if one has 108 Shaligram Shilas, is this true and does anyone know what else needs to be done? 4. I have been told that we do not need to do the entire Sankalpam everyday, is this correct?

Also does anyone have the correct version of Sankalpam? 5. Whilst doing Sandhya Vandanam as a srivaishnaivai do we say the following? My grandfather taught me, but over time I was given additional advise by others, so I do not know what is correct and what is not. Sri VishNu AaarAdhanam and Sri Raaja RaajEswari

AarAdhanam do not go together . I am pointing this out

since You have asked for directions . My response is

not to hurt the feelings of any Devi Worshippers .

 

If you identify yourself as " Sri VaishNava , Vada Kalai " and also

doing Laghu AarAdhanam for Sriman Narayana , it does not

make any sense for doing SrI Raaja RaajEswari Poojaa ;

that is for Devi Worshippers with Meru , Yantram and invocation

with 15 Bheeja Aksharams or with Laghu Shodasi . You may

wish to donate Sri Raja RajEswari Vigraham for the benefit

of a Devi Worshipper active in reciting Sri Lalihtaa Sahasram ,

Sri Lalithaa Trisadhi and performing Chandi Homam

during the NavarAthri season .

 

If you have had SamAsrayaNam and BharanyAsam , You

make a promise to your AchAryan and agree to adhere

to a code of Conduct of worshipping Sriman NaarAyaNan

alone after initiation into procedures for VishNu AarAdhanam .

 

You are fortunate to have 108 SaaLagramams . The details of

SaaLagrama AarAdhanam are in Ahobilavalli.org web pages .

It is the easiest AarAdhanam to do .

 

The big SaaLagramams are not for AarAdhanam by housholders .

They are for SanyAsis and MatAdhipathis . You may wish to

donate it to a Matam like Ahobila Matam , where Lakshmi Narasimhan

worship is primary .

 

You have to do sankalpam every day since the PanchAngam

parameters change . Year , Ruthu , Month , Day and Nakshathram

change . There are special sanklapams also for Sri Raama Navami ,

Sri Nrusimha Jayanthy and Sri KrishNa Jayanthi . PradhOsha AarAdhanam

for Lord Narasimhan has another sankalpam . Elders can breif you

on these finer aspects.

 

The tarpaNam for Navagraham during SandhyAvandhanam

is not in VaishNavite tradition . KesavAdhi TarpaNam is included

in our tradition .

 

In the sankalpam , we do not use "ParamEswara Preethyartham ".
