Dear Sri Madhavan :

 

I am also in favor of anadhyayana observance from

Thirumangai Mannan's Thirunakshathram to

KurEsar's Thirunakshathram . There may be different

observances by different Matams & SvayamAchAryAs.

 

As Srimath Azhagiya Singar's Thiruvadi , I follow

the Sri Matam observances in Anadhyayana Kaalam .

This is the anusanthAna Kramam at Sri Matam during

Anadhyayana Kaalam :

 

The observancs are different for the Mornings and

the evenings at Sri Matam .

 

The Prabhandha anusanthAnam and SaRRUmuRais

are also different for the entire month of Marghazhi

and for days outside Marghazhi during this anadhyayanam

period at Sri Matam . Here they are :

The above list A thru D gives details of what are not recited as

well as what are permitted . Anadhyayanam originated when

Swamy NammAzhwAr's dhivya MangaLa vigraham was brought

from AzhwAr Thirunahari for adhyayana uthsavam at Srirangam

and returned back at the end of this uthsavam , a period of two

months ( approximately). Since AzhwAr was away , there was no

recitation at the dhivya dEsam temples .and at homes .

 

As a part of the Pancha kaala PrakriyA , there is alloted time for

SvAdhyAyam . This time certainly can be used to reflect upon

the commentaries of PoorvAchAryAs .

Sri: Dear Members, The following paragraph is based on the book PRAPANNAMRUTHAM----part-2 by S.KRISHNASWAMY IYENGAR[sudarsanar] 3-b[nwe no.5].puthur agraharam, TRICHY-620017--PAGES -588 TO593 BASED ON THE ORDERS OF SRIRANGAM SRI RANGANATHA PERUMAL Our POORVACHARYAS HAVE FIXED THE BEGINNING[uPAKRAMAM--THAI HASTHAM] and ending[utsarjanam---karthikaiyil karthikai] for the recital of NAALAYIRA DIVYA

PRABHANDHAM.Exception is the ADHYAYANA utsavam days--- --from shukla pradhamai to krishna panchami days of the MAARGAZHI month.Another exception is The MAARGAZHI MONTH when THIRUPPAVAI has to be recited in the early morning and since it is early morning THIRUPALLIEZHUCCHI is also recited. This practice is followed in SRI SANNIIDHI--SRI AHOBILA MUTT--only on THAI HASTHAM DAY---PALLANDU is started[pl

In Temple, after the Iraapatth Utsavam is completed,Tiruppalland is restarted in homes as well as in Temple. This is to enable the peole who had come to Srirangam for the Pagal patthu Utsavam to go back to their residence. This ancient practice is followed by us.
