Guest guest
Dear Swami, Thanks for sharing the info. But can you clarify on following? 1. Why should Azhwars be awakened? Are they also sleeping? 2. How come she sang about Azhwars who were born after her? Thanks, Srinath narasimhan padmanaban <npn72000 wrote: Sri: Dear Members, PAASURAM 11 refers to KULASEKHARA AAZHWAR-- He is an incarnation of the KOUSTHUBA -the beautiful divine gem .He was a very powefful king and ruled over the entire SOUTH INDIA--CHETRAR THIRALAZHIA CHENDRU CHERUCHEYYUM He had a remarkable penchant for the COURTYARD[MUTRAM] of the SRIRANGAM TEMPLE PAASURAM 12 refers to PERIAAZHWAR---NARCHELVAN THANGAI .He established the SUPREMACY of LORD VISHNU in front of the PANDIAN KING and was blessed by LORD VISHNU IN his garuda vahana PAASURAM 13 refers to THONDARADIPODI AAZHWAR------------- PODHARIKKANNINAY--PODHU means flower and AAZHWAR performed PUSHPAKAINKARYAM to LORD RANGANATHA, He is always seen with a PUSHPA KOODAI in his statue form also--pl refer THIRUPALLIYEUYUCHI -- PAASURAM 10--thodaiyotha thulavamuM koodaiyum polindhu------ PAASURAM 14 refers to THIRUPANAAZHWAR-- nangai-- This AAZHWAR reveals PAARATHANTHRIUM--one should live as per thE orders of the LORD AND TAKE JOY AND SORROW IN the same way--when LOKASARANGAMUNI ordered him to get up on his shoulders he obeyed and we got AMALANADHIPIRAN--THE TEN VERSES which contains the ESSENCE of all SHASTRAS [NAAVUDAIYAY] and this made SWAMI DESIKAN to write MUNIVAHANA BHOGAM PAASURAM 15 refers to THIRUMANGAI AAZHWAR----ilankiliye[parrot]--the aazhwar refers to himself as PARROT in several PAASURAMS-----NAANE THANAYIDUGA---the vaishnava lakshanam is referred to in THIRUCHERAI PAASURAMS ILANKILIYE also refers to VEDANTHACHARYA, SARVATHANTRA SWANTHTRAR, KAVITHARKIKASIMHAM and our ACHARYASARVA BHOUMAN SRI NIGAMANTHA MAHADESIKAN-- he also refers to him as a yound PARROT--IN DAYAA SATHAGAM --he says--The LORD OF SEVEN HILLS wrote DAYAA SATHAGAM and I[swami desikan] repeated it like a PARROT ANDAL THIRUVADIGALE SARANAM, dhasan, N.PADMANABAN Bring your gang together - do your thing.
