Guest guest
Shri All Swamys, We used to convey our wishes to all for New Year and other festivals. Regarding this, I would like to say some points. As per Sri Vaishnavam philosophy, we must treat ourselves as a junior most one. Adiyarkku Adiyar. (i.e) No body is junior to us. Same thing was done by Sri Thirumalai Nambi (Uncle of Ramanuja) while Sri Ramanujar visits to Thirumalai. So, while we are junior, how we can wish our elders? Instead of wishing, we can say like this 'I pray Alimight Sriman Narayanan, Azhwars and Acharayars to give you a happy and prosperous New Year to all and other festival celebrations'. In marraiage also we are blessing the couples through Acharyas in Varanamairam and Seerpadal. Since this group mail is mainly for Sri Vaishnavam, my idea is we have to follow this way. In other personal mail we can wish others. Am I correct? If any mistake in my opinion, I request all to forgive me by treating as junior most child. Guest guest
Dear Swamin, Happy -New year, -Pongal, -Deepawali etc sounds fine Likewise also Best wishes for -New Year etc. May be we can begin and end with Narayana, Narayana either mentally or in a murmur (not like the way Narada in Movies and dramas shouts Narayana, Narayana!). No need to bend over backwards with I pray in teh holy feet of Divya dampathis, Alwars and Acharya thatthey may make your new year etc happy. Remember, Thiru PallanDu; if we can wish for Lord, what is so bad in wishing for his children? dAsan K.S. tAtAchAr srinivasan kanna <kanna1957 Thu, 17 Jan 2008 2:29 am View about wishes Shri All Swamys, We used to convey our wishes to all for New Year and other festivals.
