Dear Sri Sundararajan :

ArchirAdhi Gathi or path is well described

in Upanishads and AchArya Sri Sookthis .

This is the path of light or DevayAna path

to Sri Vaikuntam for a Prapannan at he end of

casting one's sthUla sareeram . If the soul exits

via the Brahma Naadi , it will travel in this path

and become a MUktha Jeevan .

DhUma Gathi or the smoky path that is taken by

souls exiting the body thru any one of the 100 Nadis

other than Brahma Naadi . It is also known as Pithruyaanam .

This jeevan enjoys oits puNya Paapams and reenters

the earth and takes appropriate bodies as Humans ,

animals , plants etc .

Garbha Gathi is self explanatory .

Saamya Gathi wouls suggest equal gathi .

I have not heard of this.

ChandhOgya Upanishad PanchAgni Vidhya ,

Swamy Desikan's Rahasya Thraya Saaram

describe the journey of the jeevan in Sookshma

Sareeram from death to rebirth .
