SwaminI just returned from my pilgirimage to Badrinath from Delhi. We left on Thursday night and returned on the early morning of next Thursday and visited Badrtinath via Rishikesh, Piplakori and on return via Jyothymutt, Srinagar and Hardwar. It is not possible to combine Kedfarinath as well as naimisaranyam with above places in one week.AdiyenSevel Krishnan. Respected swamin, recently we finished our Kasi,

Gaya, Badrinath trip successfully. Though there was

not much of crowd in Badrinath the weather was

unpredictable. So my humble request to senior

members is that if you go with a known group pl go

with full medical kit.Pl remember that the oxygen

supply is lower there and we find it difficult to

breath Pl ensure that your room windows are opened

and you are coverin g your self fully with SOCKS and

glouses and all.Why I am telling this is one of our

group member passed away suddenly in Badrinath after

finishing arathi darshan . At 9 o clock he complained

of uneasiness and breathing dificulty for which

immidiate help was given, doctor was called, oxygen was

given.Inspite of everything done he reached

badrivishals thiruvadi in a peaceful surrounding. He is

a blessed soul.may his soul protect usSenior members

above the age of 65 70 pl think twice before

proceeding.I am not alarming anybody but I saw the

incident infront of me and i dont want this to be

happened another time.Otherwise the trip was nice. In

Gaya the BavanAchar family are doing wonderful job

in conducting srarthams with a neat set of people

and they also give place for staying and also food if

needed.we have to inform them before hand so that they

keep things ready .

SwaminsIt was most unfortunate for those who accompanied the gentleman who received moksha at the abode of Badrinarayan. What was said in the message is very true. The climate was very chill and unless you are well protected with proper clothing, you will find it very difficult to even breath. We accompanied a group of 50 people, most of them 60+ and the organizer Mr Sunil Narasimhan of Delhi took care of us as if we are his very close relatives. The tour was well organised and conducted. He has made so far 58 visits to Badrikashramam and well experienced. Pinda Tharpanam was very well organised and everyone of us felt extremely happy to have performed it for our forefathers and other relatives/friends.Of course the bus journey was tedious and roads were narrow.sevel Krishnan
