Dear Lakshmi narayanan swamy,

 

Here's a short way of performing saligramam worship

 

1. Please take bath , perform sandhiyavandhanam , wear madi clothes ( veshti and uthareeyam )

2. Approach the lord with love , and keep the articles for worship like lamp , theertham , thiru thuzhai ( thulasi ) , sandal , sambrani in dhoopakaal , deepam and freshly cooked neivediyam ready.

3. Pray to the lord ,thayaar, swamy ramanujar to accept ur worship4. do dhyaanam to ur respective acharyan

5. do dhyanam to vishwaksenar

6. use a bit of theertham and perform thirumanjanam ( abhishekam ) , then thirumanjanam with milk and then water again

7. offer sandal on the saligramam

8. offer some thulasi 9. show dhoopam ( insence )

10. show deepam ( nei vilakku or karpooram )

11. offer neivediyam ( thaligai cooked for that day -- rice , paruppu , ghee etc )

12. if possible , u can recite sathumurai if u know or just recite a few pasurams of thirupaavai , thirupalli ezhuchi etc..only if time permits

13. surrender completly to the lotus feet of the lord and thayaar and dedicate ur days activities to them

14. do sashtanaga namaskarams
