Guest guest
What a wonderful description of Srimad Azhagiyasingar's trip to his ancestral home Chi. malolan has provided! Indeed he is most deserving of his name; malolan - " yathA nAma tathA guNa " !! I assume since this was in 1993 that the reference here was to 45th. Jeer Sri " Villivalam " Azhagiyasingar. The manner in which Sri Ahobilam Swami was received and hosted at Chi. malolan's residence should be an example for all to follow. It is no secret that our AchArya purushas (yathis and other vaideekas alike) often have to encounter living conditions during their travels, which are most unsuitable for even a common person, let alone people of their anushTAnam. Certainly, Chi. malolan will continue in his devout lifestyle and do well in life by the grace of his AchAryan. His family remains a standard which all gruhastas should stirve for. It is because of being raised in such an environment that Chi. malolan is able to recollect such events which occurred way back in his childhood; most youth nowadays only identify with which movie they went to or which street stall they ate at - years ago. I understand Srimad Azhagiyasingar was in Bangalore a few months ago, and my parents mentioned at least 2 shishyas (one of whom is part of malolan net) whose families had dolotsavam this time in their homes. It would be very nice to hear of their experiences also, given that it occurred so recently.
