Tulja Bhavani Temple

Bhavani is a ferocious aspect of the Hindu goddess Shakti or Devi. Bhavani means “giver of lifeâ€, the power of nature or the source of creative energy. In addition to her ferocious aspect, she is also known as Karunaswaroopini, “filled with mercyâ€.

Bhavani was the tutelary deity of the Maratha leader Shivaji. A temple to Bhavani, at Tuljapur in Maharashtra, dates back to the 12 th century. The temple contains a meter-high granite image of the goddess, with eight arms holding

weapons, and bearing the head of the demon Mahishasura.

 

Kolhapur Mahalakshmi Temple.

 

According to the Karavira Mahatmya Sree Vishnu resides in the form of Mahalakshmi at Kolhapur. Legend has it that Kolhasura, a demon that tormented the Gods and other beings, was destroyed by Mahalakshmi here at Karavira, and that the spot of his death became a thirtha and that she took abode here in a shrine which constitutes the temple today. The goddess of power takes its name from Mahalakshmi, the consort of Vishnu, and it is believed that the divine

couple reside in the area.

 

Shani Temple (Shingnapur)

 

Shani is one of the Navagrahas which are the nine primary celestial beings in Hindu astrology. One of the most important shrines for Lord Shani is in Shingnapur, in Maharashtra. The deity self-emerged from the earth (SWYAMBHU) in the form of a stone block and was found by shepherds. When they touched the stone with a pointed rod the stone began bleeding. The shepherds were astounded and one night one of the shepherds got a dream that the deity was Lord Shani. To this day, due to fear of Shani, houses within a 1 km radius of the Shani temple do not have locks. No thefts happen in this place.

Devotees also perform ‘Abhishekas’ (rites involving pouring of certain liquids over the idol) with water and ‘Til’ (mustard) oil.

 

Sai Baba Temple (Shirdi)

 

This is the shrine and samadi of Sai Baba who lived at Shirdi during the latter half of the 19 th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The Sai Baba mandir in Shirdi is active and worship of Sai is conducted in it every day. Pilgrims visit Shirdi in large numbers. Shirdi Baba is especially revered and worshipped in the state of Maharashtra.

A religious organisation of Sai Baba’s devotees called the Shri Saibaba Sansthan is based there.

Day 1)

 

We will accommodate you in our own Hotel i.e. Srikamal International www.hotelsrikamalsolapur.com provide you a double bedded Deluxe Room for your stay. The Moring after Breakfast We will Reach the Pandharpur Vitthala Temple at around 9: Am.

 

It may be noted that perhaps Vitthala is the only revered temple of God Vishnu where the deity can be touched and worshiped- that is considered Moksha. To seek the darshan of God Panduranga is eye watering.

 

The beautiful abode of Vitthala is full of names chanted like "Pundalka Hari Vitthala Namadeva Tukaram"

 

You will have darshan of Sree Hari Vitthala touching your fore head to his lotus feet, there would not be any Q for you to wait in the general line. After Having Darshana of Vitthala we will See Godess Rukmini in Pandharpur i.e the consort of Lord Vitthala- (The Dampatya can perform an ARCHANA to the goddess for the well being of family & children here) followed by river Chandrabhaga & move to Kolhapur.

 

We will break for Lunch in Sangli where we would reach around 1:pm, we will reach Kolhapur by 4 pm. Kolhapur is teh abode and residence of GODESS MAHALAKSHMI or NARAYANI the wife of Lord Vishnu. Her Shant avatara & beautifully decorated alankara leaven one enchanted by her beauty & she blesses ever one with abundant prosperity. The rays of the setting Sun bow to the feets of Godess

Mahalakshmi the whole temple is constructed without any mortar or cement in it.

 

After the mesmerizing darshan of Mahalaksmi we will move to Pune where our night halt is scheduled in Hotel Park view.

 

Day 2)

 

From Pune after Breakfast we will start towards Shani Shingnapur, where we would reach the place by noon after having the lunch- we will go to the Sannidhanam of Lord Shaneeswara & have done the Telabhishekam (for which you must take a clean Vechati). You can purchase a bottle of Black TIL oil for doing abhishekam to Lord Shaniswara and pour it at your own hands on the swaymbhu moorthy. After the abhishekam is over we will start towards Shirdi. Possibly have a evening Darshan of Sai Baba & rest at SHirdi in a reputed MTDC Guest House by name Hotel Pilgrims Inn.

 

Day 3)

 

At Shirdi we will have an another darshan of Sree Sai Baba the calm & contented Sai Baba looks so very pleasant that people forget all their pain & trouble just be looking at him.

 

After breakfast we will start towards Solapur & have Darshan of Godess TuljaBhavani- This is the most remarkable part of the pilgrimage as you would get to see & perform the Abhishekam Godess Bhavani. Bhavani the Godess Adi Shakti who killed the demons & re-structured Dharma resides on a Hillock called Tuljapur i.e 45 kms away from Solapur.

 

To see & perform the Abhishekam of Godes Bhvani of Tuljapur is an experience which cannot be written in words rather personal feelings alone can have the episode recorded in ones heart.Tuljabhavani has also said to appear before Chatrapati Shivaji & gifted him with the famous Bhavani Talwar i.e is now in the custody of queen Elizabeth of England.

 

No doubt that the darshan is very electrifying one & one feels the love and motherly affection of Godess Bhavani.

 

Return Journey suggestions

 

You can go back to Chennai the same day night by 11.35 Train called or also by the next day morning Chennai Mail.

Our Pilgrimage is for 3 full days- we will take care of you from your arrival till your departure your traveling train tickets from Chennai to Solapur & solapur to Chennai will be at your own cost.

 

Our Mode of Transportation.

 

We do not entertain more that 7 people as it is inconvenient to take more number of people comfortably. We travel with Cars & SUV's like A/C TAVERA or a SCORPIO or any vehicle which is highly comfortable & luxurious to have no strain through out the journey.

 

Accommodation.

 

All the Accommodations provided are in the most reputed Hotel of the City and courteous service to our pilgrims is been offered.

 

Cost per head

 

With all the amenities we charge you 5,840/- per head we take your responsibility as soon as you reach Solapur till we leave you back in your train from the Solapur Railway Station.
