We have made the pilgirimage to Badrinath via Devprayag in last May 2008 and we have been advised that it is closed ( route to Jyothishmutt ) from Rishikesh till the beginning of May. Landslides would be quite common during this period and the roads are not motorable. Please avoid your trip upto beginmning of May. It is my suggestion only.

Hello Members,We are planning to visit divya desams on North India. Even thoughcovering Badrinath is not possible, as we heard it will be closed tillApril - May. YES YOU CAN VISIT DEVAPRAYAG AND JOSHIMUT

 

IT WILL BE VERY COLD NOW. THAT IS ONLY THE PROBLEM.

 

SUGGEST YOU CAN TAKE A CAR FROM HARIDWAR AND PROCEED TO

JOSHIMUT. NIGHT STAY CANBE IN JOSHIMUT

NEXT DAY RETURN TO HARIDWAR AFTER VISITING DEVAPRAYAG.
