Guest guest
DONT OPEN THE DOORS PLEASE Certian pAsurams when we chant , though we do it properly, may result in exactly the opposit emeaning Here is one such example Sri ANDAL as per protocol, requests the guards of Sri naNdhagOPA s palace,to open the entrance, in the sixteenth pAsuram of thiruppavai. Traidtionally, we chant all the pAsurams of TiruppAvai by adding the two words em-pAvAi. This happens at the end of the sixteenth pAsuram also and we usually chant as nEya nilaikkadhavam nIkkEalor empAvAi நேய நிலைகà¯à®•à®¤à®µà®®à¯ நீகà¯à®•à¯‡à®²à¯‹à®°à¯†à®®à¯à®ªà®¾à®µà®¾à®¯à¯ Unfortunately, this gives the exactly the opposite meaning. nIkkEal -dont open. HH Sri Vanamamalai jIyar svami (TiruvallikkeaNi svami -Sri Gopala iyengar svami , pUrvAsramam)) used to suggest that we should chant as nIikku yEalor or nIkku - a split second pasue and yEalor empAvAi. (As narrated by Sri TS Sundararjan svami, several years back) நேய நிலைகà¯à®•à®¤à®µà®®à¯ நீகà¯à®•à¯ à®à®²à¯‹à®°à¯ எம௠பாவாய௠dAsan vanamamali padmanabhan
