Request To Arrange Regular Sloka Classes At Homes.

Dear BhagavathAs,

PraNAmams.

In order to make the children and younger generation take interest in grooming themselves well, Adiyen place this request.

It is known that most of the people are very busy and keep running all the time. In the midst of such tight schedule, it will be nice that we start regular Sri Vishna Saharanama Group Recital along with other Stotras, in their houses regularly with all their family members, esp children, on a particular convenient day and time every week followed by offering of some PRASADAM to Lord and distribution. We can invite other people and children around the houses to attend these recitals. Such group recitals will have a great and positive effect on all those who participate, again esp the children.

Our Lord has Blessed us to do this Servcve for the last 25 years. Today many young men and women living in various parts of the world recall with happiness their participation in the recitals, when they were children and also tell us how much they have been benefitted by these activities.

Thus sparing some time every week with our people, children and neighbours will make us feel fine and and provide satisfaction that we are doing some useful Service to The Lord and Society at large.

Respected Swamins:The best way to make the people realize the greatness of 'sahasranama paaraayaNam' is to make it a part of their own, by letting them learn to recite it properly and practicing it for a while. The best age to learn is around six to ten and it is best learnt also in ghoshti. Once you learn it while being young and keep chanting it regularly, it becomes a part of you and you begin to feel it as you get older. If properly recited, it is like chanting the vedas indeed. Then comes the enjoyment of chanting it with others in a ghoshti. Many of us know this and I suggest knowledgeable elders should form small groups of youngsters and teach them how to recite sahasranama properly. I learnt it that way in Srirangam when I was 12 and my experience is that constant recitation adds powers of foresight, besides spirituality. Let us try this, if

possible. Incidentally, if you would give me your address, I shall gladly come to your house and chant sahasranama and other sthothras with you, when I happen to come to Chennai. Sahasra naama paaraayanam , in the houses, is as good as " Vedapaaraayanam" . Those who know Sahasranaamam can recite it ( as a goshti) and the bakthas in the house can also participate ion the recital. Such recital is good to house as the vibration of Bhagavan Naamaas will drive away evil designs, if any, in the house and simaltaneously give solace, pious thinking, well behaviour etc to the members of the house

This was evident when adiyen with some friends recited every saturday evenings in the houses from where we asked to come there and recite, in and around Cuddalore in the years between 1980--1983. One aged person affected by " paralysis" was able to move from the bed , stand and walk subsequently, because of Sahasranaama jabham in that particular house continously for six saturdays( He would listen the paaraayanam with tears from his eyes)

Adiyen tried in late 90s, to do sahasra naama paaraayanam in the homes on the dates & times convenient to them in West Mambalam. People here, are not somuch interested to recite in their houses/flats
