Kidantha,Nindra,Veetrirundha Thirukkolangal-108 Divya Desams [3 Attachments]

Dear Sri K.S.Jegennathan Swamin,

Adiyen Sridharan from Perungalathur submit my pranams to you for the excellent work of compiling the details of the different postures of Lord Narayanan in all 108 DDs and presenting in the neat excel format for easy reference and preservation. In this regard, I would like to request you to include this details also in the list. This one is regarding Thiruneermalai Divya Desam.

Thiruneermalai is known as " Dhoyadri or Dhoyachalam" and one of the eight Swayamvaktha Kshetram. It is about 6 kms from Pallavaram on Chennai Beach-Tambaram train route. Many buses ply between and Pallavaram and Thiruneermalai.

Lord Narayanan is giving Darshan to Bhagthas in 4 postures in this Divya Desam.

Theres is small Hill in this kshetram.

1. Ninra Thirukkolam -

Moolavar - Neer Vannan, Neela Mugil Vannan, facing East. Thayar - Anima Malar - Thanikkoil Nachiar. Both are in the temple at the foot of

the Hill. There is also Ramar Sannadhi, Andal and Paramapadha

Lord Narayanan is giving Darshan in the remaining three postures in the temple on the

hill. This hill is about 200 feet hight.

2. Iruntha Thirukkolam - Santha Narasimhan in the sitting posture facing East.

3. Nadantha Thirukkolam - Trivikraman in the Nindra Thirukkolam facing East

4. Kidantha Thirukkolam- Ranganathan -Sleeping posture known as "Manicka

Sayanam (one of the eight sleeping postures of the Lord)

facing South.

Thayar- Ranganayaki Thayar - Thanikkoil Nachiar on the

hill facing East.

Bhoothathaazharwar categorised this Divya Desam as "Bhoolaga Vaikundam" linking

this to other Divya Desams - Thiruvarangam, Thirumalai, Thirukkoshtiyur. ie., One

can get the anugraham of visiting these DDs, by visiting Thiruneermalai.

When Thirumangai Azhwar visited this Keshtram, the place was sourrended by

Water (Adaimazhai) and he had to wait outside this kshetram for six months. Hence

this place was known as "Thiruneermalai"

Bhoodhathaazhwar and Thirumangai Azhwar had song on this ksehtram with

each 1 pasuram and 19 pasurams and total 20 pasurams.

Hope I have not exceeded my limit in presenting these details.
