Guest guest
Swamigal: There was a serial aboutYenge Bramhanan in Jaya TV by Cho. He could not finally find out who is real brahmanan. This serial also creates lot of confusion amongst younger generation. Pl. enlight who is exact brahman. Now a days many are wearing Punul other than brahmin community. I feel our elders should give clarity to younger generation to avoid any misunderstanding. sudarsanan
Guest guest
Dear Sir, He tried to give a message that Bramin is not only by birth but also by good behaviour of an individual and tried to distinguish the old beliefs with reasoning besides giving a conclusion that one should not critisize the belief just like that before understanding the same in full. I do not think there is any confusion and he also answered the question of some of the other community wearing punul. No misunderstanding is created by him in the serial. Rather it was different from the routine which we usually watch with lot of crying and shouting in the evening around 6 to 7. We should encourage such serials which tries to give message to the community. He also gave explanation from all sources about each tradional practice which are followed by us in our day to day routine Perhaps you have not seen all the episodes in full. He also gave the requirements of a bramin in terms of i. not to accumulate wealth, (ii) survive with what you get etc Please recollect the earlier parts you may be able to get lot of inputs ! Guest guest
Dear Swamin, As per Bhagavad-Gita Chapter 18:42, any person who has the following inherent traits is a Brahmin. 42Serenity, self-discipline, austerity, honesty, purity, forgiveness, knowledge, wisdom, and faith in the almighty are the basic traits of brahmins. Four siblings, can belong to 4 varNas. Thus, every child ha sits own varNa. Children are not clones. Unfortunately our ancestors for a long time did not understand this simple truth. dAsan KST GURUSWAMY K <vatguru Tue, Jun 30, 2009 11:18 pm Re: Brahmanan Dear Sir, He tried to give a message that Bramin is not only by birth but also by good behaviour of an individual and tried to distinguish the old beliefs with reasoning besides giving a conclusion that one should not critisize the belief just like that before understanding the same in full.
