Nov 15 ( Iyppasi 28) , Sunday is the right day to celebrate DheepAvaLi ( Naraka Chaturti

SnAnam).

 

The October 17 , Saturday early Morning SnAnam is not correct for number of reasons .

 

All these Titi , Nakshatra , Lunar Calendar /Solar Calendar based determinations are bound to create confusion . On top of it VaikhAnasa/PaancharAtra Aagamaas add complexity . This happened for Sri KrishNa Jayanti this year . Sep 12 is KrsihNa jayanti

for PaancharAtram this year. Please follow your own AchArya Paramaparai's determinations . The location of devotees around the world creates another layer of

confusion on dates because the determinations are based on Sunrise .The dates for

Ahobila Matam and Munitraya SampradhAyam also vary somewhat .

 

Please follow International PanchAngams edited especially for determinations , when you are abroad .

This Naraka Chaturti SnAnam should be done only on Chaturtidasi dinam and not on

TrayOdasi titi or AmAvasyai Titi . This snAnam is not done on SrAddha Titi, if it happens to
