They pass on from one person to another in the family by parampara. If you want to commence worship afresh, the saligramams can be given to you by some one who is not able to perform the nityanustanam for them in their houses. It is preferrred if some acharya, or an elderly person, or a guru gives them to you. Or else one can find them in the river gandaki, in nepal.
