Dear Mr.Venkatakrishnan,The cow has always been an object of reverence for the Hindu religion. Go Seva is Gopala Seva. As you have rightly mentioned, we need a lot of initiative from many like minded people to come together it we need to succeed here.

On July 1, 1958, His Holiness Sri Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam in a message on the occasion of Vyasa Puja, laid emphasis on â€œGo Samrakshanaâ€ and said: â€œThough we have a tradition of worshiping the cow, most of us do not care for the cows in the proper manner. If our people will only take a little trouble to preserve kitchen garbage in a sanitary place and if an organisation like the Pinjrapole or a group of cow-owners can arrange to come round daily and collect fodder for the cows from housewives, hotel keepers and hostel authorities, the amount of fodder that will be thus available to our cows will be considerable. This small thoughtful action in our homes, hostels and hotels will go a great way to provide for the cows and augment the cattle wealth of our country. In addition to serving to removing the slur on our nation that we do not care for our cows, it will also obtain for us untold

religious merit by the performance of this holy duty.â€ A devotee of the kanchi mutt sent a cuban newspaper paper cutting to the paramacharya about a secret pact agreed between the European countries. Due to excess population of cows, there was a oversupply of milk and all cheese/dairy products which in turn had a cascading price effect. To reverse the tumbling prices, the European countries decided to arrange slaughter of excess cows in each of their countries to arrest the excess production of milk and cheese production. The paramacharya instructed a very ardent devotee to discuss with the European countries to make them give away those excess cows which in turn can be relocated to various countries in and around India where there is malnutrition. The gigantic effort was undertaken by this devotee who convinced

these European countries to give away those excess cows to the kanchi mutt for further transportation by a cargo plane to the various deserving countries as per the paramacharya's instructions. The ardent devotee doesnt wish to be named but attributes this monumental task completely to the grace of the paramacharya.Parmacharya was very much concerened about cow protection. When paramacharya went on vijaya yatra to north, some of the sankaracharyas protestingly asked him what he was doing for the cow protection. The sankaracharyas in the north had organised a campaign against cow slaughter and went on fasting. Our acharya asked them what was the effect of such campaign? Did the then govt ban cow slaughter? The answer was there was no impact and the cows were continued to be slaughtered. Our acharya told them that he had

started a trust for cow protection. Out of the funds collected in the trust , the trust is buying old cows and taking care of them ,which would have been other wise slaughtered. If we start start cow protection shelter each dist/taluka level and funds are made available we can stop cow slaughter. People will come forward to protect cows in their area.As suggested by you a committee of like minded persons who would be interested in doing this Seva of Cow Protection can be formed to help focus on :a) arranging supply of fodder for cows in go-shalas.b) to mobilise fund to buy out old and dry cows and are sent to go-shalas.c) to educate the importance of cows in every Hindu's religion and life at the village level.We now hopefully have 3 persons already willing to join the "Go Seva-Gopala Seva" committee viz:1. There is Moksha even for a person doing the barbaric act of killing animal and birds in the butchers shop for a living -but not for these agents from Vatican.. Our media is waiting for the time when these butchers are given similar treatment so as to put the blame on saffron fornt and RSS.. Kaliyug probabably has started..

Dear Mr.Venkatakrishnan,The cow has always been an object of reverence for the Hindu religion. Go Seva is Gopala Seva. As you have rightly mentioned, we need a lot of initiative from many like minded people to come together it we need to succeed here.

On July 1, 1958, His Holiness Sri Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam in a message on the occasion of Vyasa Puja, laid emphasis on â€œGo Samrakshanaâ€ and said: â€œThough we have a tradition of worshiping the cow, most of us do not care for the cows in the proper manner. If our people will only take a little trouble to preserve kitchen garbage in a sanitary place and if an organisation like the Pinjrapole or a group of cow-owners can arrange to come round daily and collect fodder for the cows from housewives, hotel keepers and hostel authorities, the amount of fodder that will be thus available to our cows will be considerable. This small thoughtful action in our homes, hostels and hotels will go a great way to provide for the cows and augment the cattle wealth of our country. In addition to serving to removing the slur on our nation that we do not care for our cows, it will also obtain for us untold

religious merit by the performance of this holy duty.â€ A devotee of the kanchi mutt sent a cuban newspaper paper cutting to the paramacharya about a secret pact agreed between the European countries. Due to excess population of cows, there was a oversupply of milk and all cheese/dairy products which in turn had a cascading price effect. To reverse the tumbling prices, the European countries decided to arrange slaughter of excess cows in each of their countries to arrest the excess production of milk and cheese production. The paramacharya instructed a very ardent devotee to discuss with the European countries to make them give away those excess cows which in turn can be relocated to various countries in and around India where there is malnutrition. The gigantic effort was undertaken by this devotee who

convinced these European countries to give away those excess cows to the kanchi mutt for further transportation by a cargo plane to the various deserving countries as per the paramacharya' s instructions. The ardent devotee doesnt wish to be named but attributes this monumental task completely to the grace of the paramacharya.Parmacharya was very much concerened about cow protection. When paramacharya went on vijaya yatra to north, some of the sankaracharyas protestingly asked him what he was doing for the cow protection. The sankaracharyas in the north had organised a campaign against cow slaughter and went on fasting. Our acharya asked them what was the effect of such campaign? Did the then govt ban cow slaughter? The answer was there was no impact and the cows were continued to be slaughtered. Our acharya told them that

he had started a trust for cow protection. Out of the funds collected in the trust , the trust is buying old cows and taking care of them ,which would have been other wise slaughtered. If we start start cow protection shelter each dist/taluka level and funds are made available we can stop cow slaughter. People will come forward to protect cows in their area.As suggested by you a committee of like minded persons who would be interested in doing this Seva of Cow Protection can be formed to help focus on :a) arranging supply of fodder for cows in go-shalas.b) to mobilise fund to buy out old and dry cows and are sent to go-shalas.c) to educate the importance of cows in every Hindu's religion and life at the village level.We now hopefully have 3 persons already willing to join the "Go Seva-Gopala Seva" committee viz:1. Yes I agree with you, we as Sanaatanadharmis are responsible for the cows eating garbage in dusbin in cities instead of grass ans plants.We have shoud feed the cows and cattle with grass and plants.For which I have a solution.We should start a organisation, through which we must purchase lands in villages outside cities and towns in India. where we should grow grass and plants and feed the cattlea.But the problem is I am an individual who can take the initiative to start but need many like minded people to join me.First, are you prepared to join me in this initiative as the person who has questio0ned ?
