How can it be parted from Him again? amaramuzhumudhal= here amarar means the nithyasoories like Garuda and Anantha. The Lord was the muzhumudhal of them meaning, the first and whole cause of them all because He was the aadhi, the only Being in the beginning , one only without a second. amararkku amudhu eendha – He is the one who helped the devas to get nectar from the sea, by carrying the mandhara mountain to the sea, bearing it on His back, joined the devas to help them in churning, held the top of the mountain with Hid hand and finally took it away from the asuras who confiscated it from the devas by taking the form of Mohini. That is why Azvar says that the Lord it was who gave the nectar to them. aayarkozhundhai- He was the beloved of the gopas to whom He Himself was the nectar. en aavi amara azhumbha thuzhaavi- my soul has become close and enjoyed His company amaratthazhuvuttru- united with Him in close embrace. neeranDhra samslesham. ini agalumO- Is it possible to leave Him now? 1.7.10 agalil agalum aNugil aNugum pugalum ariyan pugavallan emmaan nigaril avan pugazh paadi iLaippilam pagalumiravum padindhu kudaindhE He will come near if one goes near Him. If we go away from Him, He will allow us to go and wait till the time we come back. He is difficult to attain for those who have no devotion but easily accessible to those who are His devotees. We are never tired of singing His glory day and night, engrossed in Him. agalil- if one goes away agalum- He will also go away. udhaaseena vath aaseenam, as He says in Gita. He stays away as if he is indifferent but He is not so in reality. He simply waits till the one who goes away from Him learns his lesson and comes back. It is like a mother who allows her child who is adamant to go out when restricted and waits patiently till he hurts himself or gets hungry and comes back crying. aNugil aNugum- If we go to Him He meets us halfway and takes us in His arms like the mother who picks up her crying child who throws away all his toys and wants only the mother. pugalum ariyan- He is inaccessible to those who have no devotion towards Him. poruvu allan- he is easy to attain for those who love Him. Arjuna who approached Him with love got Him and victory because if the Lord is on our side what else one needs for success? But Duryodhana wanted only the army which is worthless with out the Lord and went away. nigar il avan- He who is matchless pugazh paadi- singing His praise iLaippilam- we never get tired pagalum iravul- day and night padindhu kudaindhE- deeply engrossed in Him Thondar adippodi azvar said `achuthaa amararErE aayar tham kozhundhE ennum icchuvai thavira yaan pOi indhiralokam aaLum acchuvai perineum vEndEn ` " I do not wish for anything else , even the mastery over heaven except to be here and sing your names." Hanuman did not want to go to vaikunta with Rama when His incarnation was over because he could not hear the devotees singing His name there. 1.7.11 kudaindhu vanduNNum thuzhaimudiyaanai adaindha then kurugoor sadagopan midaindha sol thodai aayiraathippatthu udandhu nOygaLai OduvikkumE This decade , a garland woven by words by the Kurugur Sadagopa, who worshipped the Lord whose garland of Tulasi leaves on His head, is being resorted by the bees which drink the honey in them, will destroy all ills of samsara. thuzhaai mudiyaan- The Lord who is wearing the Tulasi leaves on His head kudaindhu vanduNNum- into which the bees enter and drink the honey adaindha- attaining Him as His devotee then kurugur sadagopan- Naamazvar who manifested in Kurugur in the south midaindha solthodai- woven garland of words aayiratthu ippatthu- this decade out of the thousand nOigaLai udaindhu Oduvikkum- make the ills of samsara break and run away This is the end of seventh decade of first centum of Thiruvaimozi
