Namaskaram,

My uncle and a group of 7 other people all are aged above 60 are planning to visit Divadesam temples in Chennai, Mahabalipuram, Kanchipuram, Sriperumbudur and Tiruvallur as one trip by taking qualis car and taking a rest of day or two and then to Srirangam by train and nearby divadesams around Trichi starting from 12th Nov.

To cover all DDs in Kanchi, they are planning to stay two full days there. What I would like to know is two days are sufficient to cover all the temples in Kanchi and also decent accommodation for them and gets pure vegitarian food in Kanchi. Also I understand that there are around 16 - 17 DDs are there. Will there be any guide who can shown all the DDs.

Also some accomodation in Chennai, preferably near Central or Egmore. Suggestions for any other places are also OK...

Also all of them are coming from AP, only my uncle knows a bit of Tamil. Would it be easy manage there.

Swamin,

Two days will be sufficient to visit all the Divya desams in Kanchi. Quite a number of people

converse Telugu in Kanchi.

A good number of decent vegetarian Hotels are available closer to Egmore - Asoka - Udipi -

Dasaprakash to name a few.

You can refer to my books - Guide to 108 Divya Desams, Guide to Chennai, Guide to Kanchipuram posted in scribd.com (search Tamarapu Sampath Kumaran) which will

give extensive details of temples and sthala puranams, besides facilities available in these locations..

Wish them a very safe and enjoyable journey.
