SrI hayagrIvan likhita kaimkarya ghoshTi is very happy to announce the release of "tirukkuDantai vaibhavam" as EBook # 62 in the SrI hayagrIvan eBooks series.

Several bhaktAs of SrI ARAvamudha perumAL of tirukkuDantai have contributed the commentaries for the various AzhvArs' paasurams eulogizing this divya kshetrams and its divya dampatis.

Some fine points about this kshetram as elucidated by SrI Sridharan swamy of tirukkuDantai:

(1) the Utsava Murti is called “SarangapAni” and in fact this is one of the exclusive sannadhis where both the Moolavar and Utsavar have been sung by the Alwars.(2) After hearing the “ArAvamudhe” pasuram, Sri Nathamuni was directed by the goshTi to go to Alwar Tirunagari and meet the sishyas of Sri Madhurakavi alwar. Because the Perumal is intrumental in the revival of the entire 4000 verses through Sri Nathamunigal, the Perumal is called “drAvida sruti darsakar” and even today one of names for archana is this.(3) The Perumal is called as “ArAvamudha Alwar” because he took the reclining posture of ‘uttAna Sayanam” as requested by Shri Tirumagizhai Alwar and they exchange the names of “ArAvamudha Alwar” and Alwar becomes “Tirumagizhai Piran”
