For comfortable travel , please go by bus up to poonamallee and visit thirukachigal nambi sanadhi after that u can hire a auto for both pettai and thirumazhisai azhwar sanadhi.The auto will charge Rs.125/- to 150/- for both the darshan from poonamalee bus stand.dasan doosee_maamandoour( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest guest Posted November 27, 2009 Report Share Posted November 27, 2009 Dear Swamin, I would like to add a few more small informations for the benefit of the Bhakthas who would like to visit Chennai and have darshan of the important temples and other places. The public transport system in Chennai is far better than any other places in India. The MTC had introduced three types of Passes for the frequent travellers. It also saves the passengers from the trouble of keeping changes for buying tickets everytime they change buses for going from one corner of the city to other end. The three types of passes are: 1) Daily ticket for Rs.30/- You can go from anywhere to anywhere just flashing this ticket to the conductors. It is valid in all types of buses except A/c coaches and night buses. 2) Weekly ticket for Rs.160/- - the same rule applies with the validitiy of One week. 3) Monthly ticket for Rs/600/- with the validity of One month. The daily ticket can be purchased in any bus you board. The other two tickets are to be purchased in any of the bus terminals. It is quite useful when we board the bus in between stages. The elders can use ticket to reach a nearby terminal and catch the desired bus with the sitting accomadation. As suggested in the original mail, auto can be hired for going to Pettai. But for Thirumazhisai, from Poonamalle, many buses and enroute buses are available.
