Daily trips to Tiupathi by Balajee Tours &Travels from Chennai

Dear Divyadesam online memebers

Recently I had seen information that Sri Narsimhan of Balajee Tours & Travels arranges daily trips in a very convenient fashion .Accordingly after discussion with him I had arranged with him for visit to the shrine for my daughter & her husband who wanted to reach Tirumala by walk from Tirupathi .Sri Narsimhan had promised that tickets of Rs 300 will be arranegd for both of them to be delivered to them through his staff and after the walk to tirumala they can have a conveninent darshan .He had charged Rs 8500 for 2 tickets of Rs 300 each,breakfast,lunch and towards charges of car etc.Sri Narasimhan had personally promised me and my wife when we visited him earlier that the 2 tickets will be delivered to them on their reaching Tirumala by walk .On reaching, their rep of the company( Driver of the car) told my daughter & her husband that they will have to get the tickets themselves which was in total violation of the

understanding he gave to us when we had gone to make advance reservation of the trip .The only adavantage we wanted to derive was to avoid waiting for the queue even to buy the ticket and but wait in the queue only for darshan .This action of Mr Narasimahan's men was totally against the spirit of the understanding he gave us while we went to reserve in adavance.If we were to wait in the que and get tickets then I could have sent my car and driver which would have cost us much less .Unfortunately both my daughter and son in law wanted to perform this before they leave for US and they had come specifically for this purpose .Leave alone charging heavily ,Mr Narsimhan has sought to merely down play the incident as of no consequence when I tried to talk on phone today.I am writing this to you in your coulmns as in a recent communication on your portals some one else has lavished a lots of praise on Mr Narasiman as though he is doing a

yeoman service of quality .

 

On coming to know this deficiency in service on phone from my daughter I immediately felt cheated and tried to contact Mr Narsimhan who instead of regretting the inconvenince caused to my daughter and son law tried to only blame the New executive officer of TTD Devasthanam and replied in a very casual and irresponsible manner which certainly caused not only anger but anguish .I am examining all pros and cons to deal with this action of Mr Narasimhan and consulting my legal advisor for any remedy suitable in the circumsatnces .I am writing this to you so that you may inform all divyadesam members who may be under a mistaken impression that the services of Mr Narasimhan are excellent .In all fairness to him I must say that it used to be excellent earlier but not anylonger after this insatnce till I met this fate .

Pl inform all members of divyadesam group memebers about this factual position so that they also know this experience of mine .

i am not surprised with his approach This is the case with most of the tour operators who are keen to have shorr term

gains and give wide publicity to get more revenue. Thanks for sharing your experince with the members so that they do not

recommend this person in future

Dear SirWe had the same experience but we didn't mind because it is not the fault of Mr Narasimhan. Ofcourse, he could have informed all those who had booked about this new procedure.The new Executive Officer had stopped online booking of Sevas. When I inquired on phone, the EO stated that Seva booking can be done at Vijaya Bank, Thirumala only and that too one day in advance only.While the new measures are aimed at curbing bulk booking by agents, this certainly is an inconvenience to pilgrims reaching Thirumala from far away places.More over, we are not allowed to look at the Lord for more than 1 sec.Why should we go to such temples when there are Balaji Temples all over India where one can have a peaceful darshan? I am making this message not in support of Mr Narasimhan but to ascertain whether any one else will help us to visit Thirumala Hills on packaged tour basis assured of darshan, other than TTDC and Govn. agencies.

It was interesting to read the mails "Daily trips to Tirupathi........"

Yes we do sympathise with Shri S Ramaswamy. When things do not happen on expected lines, more so when the affected party being the SIL, its natural for anyone to get agitated.

But sometimes however good arangements we make with all the PR s etc it fails to work at Tirumala (Sometimes) . The greatness is in accetping the challenge rather then air your personal hardship..

My own personal experience at Tirumala is different everytime I visit. One occasion I could have a good darshan just in eight hours ( left BOM at 0800 and back in BOM at 1600hrs after a very good darshan). Once we were their for three days but could get only one datrshan and i would like to add here that an agent who normally assists in getting ticket could not succeed that day. Another occasion on an unplanned trip I was surprised to get two tickets for Suprapatham seva without asking. I was alone, and the cab driver who escorted me at midnight from downhills joined me for the seva also... Well the Lord wanted it that way.

What I am trying to drive home the point is, TIRUMALA is different. Our efforts are 40% , 60% is Perumal Anugraham. If things fail or doesn't work, take it in the right spirit and accept what is in store for us that day, for probably the Lord Venkateswara wanted it that way.

NOTE: I have nothing to take from this Tour Operator not do I know him or ever had an occasion to use his services. Well, sometimes the best of tours also face challenges like this when they become helpless. Yes you have the right to take it up directly but pl do not use a forum (like this) to settle your personal score.
