The sea water was touched by divine hands of Sriman Narayana.Sri Nilamanagai thayar samEtha Sri Sthalasayana Perumal, Mamallapuram (Thiru Kadalmallai)The new RATHA was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.15 Lakhs (by single donor)and ready for VeLLOttam. Now we are in the process of constructing STAGE for RATHA- THER NILAI - so that Lord could climb up and proceed during THER FESTIVAL.The Bhoomi pooja was held on 5th Feb 2010. We propose to complete the constructionwork before Chiththirai BrahmOtsavam, so that Sri Perumal could enjoy RATHA (THER)FESTIVAL during the upcoming Brahmotsavam on April 2010.The following are the raw materials to be procured for the construction with an estimatedamount:

1. Sand - 9 loads ( 1 load = Rs.4500/- )

2. Bricks - 15,000 nos. ( 1 brick = Rs.3.60 )

3. Cement - 250 bags ( 1 bag = Rs.250/- ) IRON ROD for pillars and RCC Roof

4. 12 mm Iron rod - 37 length ( Rs.15,058/- )

5. 10 mm Iron rod - 40 length ( Rs.11,400/- )

6. 8 mm Iron rod - 60 length ( Rs.10,944/- ) 7. 16 mm Iron rod - 38 length ( Rs.27,508/- )AdiyEn requests the donor(s) to select any raw materials from the above listthat they wish to contribute. Either they can send the raw materials directlyto the construction spot in Temple, Mamallapuram or they can donate the amount. Raw Material Requirements for Ratha Stage Construction

SrI:|Dear Swamin :: adiyEn namaskArams::The ratha stage construction work is going with grace of Sri Sthalasayana Perumal.adiyEn would like to intimate the status of the current progress in the work.The foundation up to plinth was completed on 10th March and the construction ofwall and pillars (4 main pillars + 4 dummy pillars) began on 11th March. The planned date for VELLOTTAM - 5th April 2010.The construction engineer planned to lay the RCC Roof and staircase on 17th or 18th March.The stage area is 16 X 16 feet, 8 pillars (4 main+4 dummy) to support the stage, stage is 10 feet height from the ground level. The portion below the stage would be used asa room for storing the RATHA materials.Through some donors so far, we had received 100 bags cement (worth Rs. 22,000) and 95% of Iron Rods (worth Rs.55,000) for the construction work. Using adiyEn's known local resources, so far paid Rs.50,000/ towards labor charge.The following are requirements for the remaining work:1. CEMENT ----------------- 100 Bags ---------------- Rs. 24,0002. SAND ------------------- 2 load ----------------------- Rs. 12,0003.
