Guest guest
Dear Bhakthas, Adiyen Nochalur Seshadri Sampath would like to share few interesting moments with Thirukukdanthai Kannan Swamigal. It was in the fag end of 1970 adiyen was working in New Delhi. The construction of Vaikundanathar temple near Ramakrishnapuram was going on. Swamigal was on his way to Badrikashramam and also looking after the installation of Chakrathazwar. Swamigal used to give Upanyasam on Thirupavai daily morning and distribute Theertham and Sadari. It iused to be a great pleasure to get blessings thru Swamigal and also Prasadam from Him. Eventhough adiyen is a Vadagalai Iyengar, I never used to follow strict procedure except wearing Srichurnam only and pray the Lord Naryana with whatever I knew and recite Vishnusahasranamam along with Bhaktas of Vishnusahasranama Mandali each Saturdays. With this background, adiyen raised 2 questions to Swamigal. 1. Whether it is right to blurb the slokas withour knowing the meanings. 2. Whether it is necessary to go to temple only after taking bath. During the discourse, he not only praised me for the above questions, and also told the audiance that many may have the same questions in their mind and this boy has vent his feellings and started answering. You do your duty. Even you have recited some slokas which is in unknown language to you and need not bother. HE knows what it is that you want to convey and HE is the creator of that language. For second, you place yourself in a situation that you visit a small village on a paticular day and you are sleeping in a cot. In the midnight the Procession reach your house and immediately you pack up and keep the cot near the window and ready yourself for a dharshan of Lord. You never go and take bath. It is similar to your pranams to your parents in the morning as soon as you get up. HE never expecrs anything from you. Do your duty and HE is happy if you remember HIM. Adiyen visited the temple one day at about 14 hours and Swamigal was talking to someone in TVS Madurai. That day was Ekadesi and Swamigal was aksing him to send one bag full of agathikeerai for the Bhaktas on the next day Dwadesi. Adiyen was completely taken by surprise as to how Swamigal was concerned to the Bhakthas. An ordinary person cannot do such thing. (It is diffcult to get agathikeerai in New Delhi) Swamigal used to ask each and every person whether he/she had everything in the pandhi. adiyen, nochalur seshadri sampath.
