Swamin Shriman Narayanaya Namaha: I have heard from many a Bhakthas that they had to skip some Divyadesams due to Temple closing or non availability of Bhattars etc. Well, by planning your trip, you can overcome such problems. Here are some tips for a satified trip. 1. Decide where you want to go. Depending on your presently dwelling place, form group or cluster of your places of

visit. 2. Decide your time frame. 3. Know the timings of Divyadesams. 4. Have a rough idea about the distances between divyadesams and estimate the travel time. 5. Avoid lengthy travels during early hours or late hours of the day. 6. Do not travel during nights. 7. Provide enough rest to the driver and others. 8. Avoid heavy food during travels. 9. HAve a travel map with you. Now, a tentaive and workable plan. Group - I Chennai Group. In Chennai Group, you have the following DDs. Tiruvellikkeni, Tiruvidanthai, Thirukadal Mallai, Thiruneerfmalai, Kanchipuram 14 DDs, Thiruninravur, Thiruvellore, Tiruppukkuzi and Thirukadigai(Sholinghur). An early start is preferable. You can go farthest. Now, start from Chennai and go to Thiruvidanthai, after worship go to Thirukadalmallai. From here go to Thiruneermalai. From here go to Kanchipuram. At Kanchipuram, first go to Varadaraja swamy Temple, then to Yadothkari, AshtaBujam, Thiruthanka, Thiruvelukkai and then on to Pandava Doothar, Vaikundha Perumal, Pavalavannar, Thiru Uragam (4 DDs). From here to Thirukkarvanam and finally to Nilathingal Thundam. Take rest and Lunch. Leave by 2.00 Pm for Sholinghur. After worship come to Tiruppukkuzi, Thiruvellore, Thiruninravoor and finally Triplicane. Now we will see why this order of visits. Thiruvidanthai DD opens by 6.00 AM. and Thirukkadal

mallai by 7.00 AM Thiruneermalai opens at 8.00 AM. Now , you need not waite any where for the DD to open. All Kanchi DDs will be opened by then. Thirukarvanam and Nilathingal thundam are in the last as these DDs are open till 12.30 PM. After Lunch and rest Go to Sholinghur. Sholinghur is a little far away. Use the time available at your disposal to reach the farthest DD, well in time so that you can climb those 1305 steps and ready for worship by 4.00PM. By 5.00 Pm you will be down the Hill and reach Tiruppukuzi, Thiruvellore and Thiruninravoor. Now you are near Chennai. Reach Parthasaradhi Temple worship and thank Him for the succesful trip. Thus a well planned trip will help in worshipping in

all DDs. The same technique with appropriate modifications will help to visit all the 97 south Indian DDs.
