Rs.1.5 crore gold worship articles offerd to Tirumala Temple

The famous hill shrine of Lord Vekateswara at Tirumala near here has today received a princely offering in the form of seven worship articles made of gold total weighing about 15 KG worth about 1.5 crore by a devotee from Chandigarh.

Temple sources told that the devotee Mr. Balbir Singh Uppal, CMD of Lakshmi Energy and foods Ltd (LEAF) in Chandigarh has handed over seven varieties of worship articles to a temple official on the hills this morning.

The articles which include a set of multi bowl fitted ghee lamps, a camphor offering lamp, a conch shaped article and a pair of mace shapped articles to carry liquids such as ghee, honey and incensed waterduring celestial bath conducted to the deity, would be used during daily rituals at the hill temple, the sources said. http://www.tirupatitimes.com/
