It is also called by the name Melkote. Our sampradayam is full of bhOgam. This is very explicit in various dimensions. If one wants to really see and experience the bhOgam, ThiruNarayanapuram is one such Kshetram. Everything is bhOgam there. All this could not be possible without the work of our great Acharya, Swami Ramanujar. Th pagal kandEn naarananaikkandEn…. Thirunaaranan was found by Swami Ramanujar in this place. Under his command, the temple was built for this Perumal. In order to get more Srivaishnavites for temple kamkaryams, Swamy Ramanujar chose 52 bhagavathas, out of which eight were very important. Out of this eight, one bhagavatha was from Thirukkurungudi. He is known as “Thirukkurungudi dAsar”. Let us continue enjoying Nambi along with other Perumal. adiyen, ramanan Fussy? Opinionated?
