Guest guest
Swamin, Probably it will be a cherished dream of every Srivaishnava to worship in all the Divyadesams, the abodes of Shriman Narayana. But probably the thoughts that it may cost heavily may hold back some of them . But it doesn't cost a fortune to visit Divyadesams. The Divyadesams in Tamilnadu and Kerala are fortunately clustered together. A planned visit in week ends will enable you to visit most of them in about 6 weeks. Travel through a combination of Train/Bus and hired vans/ autos. It will be cheaper and cost effective. The 6 Divyadesams in and around Chennai can be worshipped in a day. The 14 Divyadesams in Kanchipuram, Thiruppukuzi and Sholingar can be visited in one day. Thirukkovilur, Thiruvahindrapuram, Thillai, Seerkazi, ThiruIndalur, Thalachangadu, Sirupuliyur, Therazundur, Thirunangur(12) can be worshipped in two days. Thirunagai, Thirukkannapuram, Thirukkannangudi, Thirukkannamangai, Thiruserai, Oppiliappankovil, Thiruvelliangudi, Thirunaraiyur,Kudanthai, Nathan Kovil, Thiru Adanur, Pullaboothangudi, Kapisthalam, Thirukkudalur, Koviladi, Vennathangarai Perumal can be worshipped in two days. Srirangam, Thiruvellarai, Anbil, Uthamarkovil and Uraiyur can be worshipped in one day. Koodalzagar, Thirumaliruncholai, Thirumohur, Thiruthangal, Srivilliputhur, Thiruppullani, Thirumeyyam and Thirukkoshtiyur can be worshipped in two days. The Nava Thiruppathy(8), Nanguneri and Thirukkurungudi will take one day. Thirvanparisaram, Thiruvattaru and Thiruvananthapuram will take 1/2 day. Chenganur, Aranmula, Puliyur, Thiruvanvandur, Thiruvallah and Chengananchery will take one day. Thirukakara, Thirumoozikalam will take 1/2 day. Thirunavai and Thiruvichicodu will take 1/2 day. But what is important is to keep the Temple schedules in mind and plan accordingly. It is essential that we are present at the opening of Temples both in the morning and evening. This will ensure more temples covered in the same day. Some shrines are kept opened throughout the day. Plan to visit them between 11 Am and 5 PM. Otherwise travel during that period long distances to ensurer your presence self well before time for next shrine. Happy pilgrimmage! 5, 50, 500, 5000. Store N number of mails in your inbox.
