Respected Dr. Sadagopan Swamin,I hail from Serangulam, famous vaishnavite village in Tanjore distirct which is one of the Panchagramams were Karapangadu, Peravoorani, Melanammankurichi & Puliyakkudi exists. Sri Abhishta Varadaraja Swami is our family diety. The Maha Samprokshanam of this temple is slated on 21st April 2008. In this connection, I have prepared the following appeal to the members of ,oppiliappan ,srirangaSri , vaideekam and ramanuja . I humbly request your 'Srimuham' recommending contributions for this massive devine kainkaryam for which I shall be ever thankful to you.Incidentally, I am closely associated with Dr.Ananthapadmanabhachar of sri Nrusimhapriya and Sri Matam at Selaiyur.

 

AdiyenT.RamanujamThe appel is as follows:Respected Asthikas, Sri Devaperumal Mahasamprokshana Committee - Karapangadu-614903 Renovation and consecration - appealKarapangadu, a minuscule village in Tanjore district is proud to have the famous temple of Sri Perundevi Thayar consorted Sri Abhishta Varadaraja Swami (Sri Deva Perumal), a perfect replica of Kancheepuram Sri Varadaraja Swami and his abode there.This temple is 300 years old and daily poojas and festivals (Utsavams) take place in the lines of Kancheepuram adhering to "Pancharatra" norms and rules.Karapangadu is the birth place of great scholars and pundits like late Singaperumal Swami, Desika Varadachar Swami, Venakatachar Swami, popularly known as Karapangadu Swami and Dr.Rangaramanuja Swami, a devout exponent in Upanishads and Prabhandams.Renovating the Rajagopuram, vimanams, Sanctum Sanctorium, the halls of Ardh mandapam, Maha Mantap, strengthening the rampart walls on all four sides, pre- consecration yagas, yagnas and other rituals would cost around INR 43 lakhs.Please find your enjoyment and pleasure by contributing substantially to the devine project in Karapangadu and thus get blessed by Sri Abheeshta Varadaraja Samy and Sri Perundevi Thayar.The consecration is fixed for 21st April 2008.The invitation to attend the Mahasamprokshanam will be sent to you by end of March/early April2008.Kindly forward your generous contributions by cheques/drafts payable at Chennai -Sri Devaperumal Mahasamprokshana committee and mail to the president, Sri V.Swamy Iyengar, New No.34/8, Singarachari Street, Triplicane, Chennai-600005(Phone:044-28442645 cell:9840820605 )under advise to my e mail addresses"raman_tambaram & ramantambaramSri Swami Iyengar's e mail address is: varadachariswamyAdiyenT.Ramanujam
