Dear sri vaishNava perunthagaiyeer,

We are continuing to see how sreemadh bhaagavatham slokams and periyaazhvaar verses on krishNa are going so close.

I: now paasuram 3-3-3

First bhaagavatham --

pratheekshathE thvam dhaasaarha bhOkshyamaaNO vraja adhipa: |

Ehi aavayO: priyam dhEhi sva-grhaan yaatha baalakaa: || 10-11-17

TRANSLATION

Nandha Mahaaraajaa, the King of Vraja, is now waiting to eat. O my dear son krishNa, Balaraama, he is waiting for You. Therefore, come back to please us. All the boys playing with You and Krishna can now go to their homes.

kaadugaL oodu pOi kanRugaL mEiththu maRiyOdi kaark kOdal pooch

choodi varuginRa dhaamOdharaa | kaRRuth thooLikaaN un udambu

pEdai mayil saayal pinnai maNaaLaa neeraattam amaiththu vaiththEn

aadi amudhu sei appanum uNdilan unnOdu udanE uNbaan

-- 3-3-3

Father nandha waiting for eating is the main point in both places here.

J: Now paasuram 3-6-8

First bhaagavatham --

sarasi saarasa hamsa vihangaas chaaru geetha hutha chEthasa Ethya |

harim upaasatha thE yathaa chiththaa hantha meelitha dhrusO dhrutha mounaa: || 10- 35-11

meaning: In the tanks the cranes and swans and other birds, when they heard the music of Krishna, they left their basic nature of roaming in the pond, and as though they pay their praNaamams [namaskaaram or prayers] came and stopped motionless and silent.

This has a parallel in periyaazhvaar in 3-6-8

siru viralgaL thadavip parimaaRach

sengaN kOdach cheyya vaai koppaLippak

kuru veyarp puruvam koodalippak

gOvindhan kuzhal kodu oodhina pOdhu

paravaiyin kaNangaL koodu thuranthu

vanthu padu kaadu kidappa

karavaiyin kaNangaL kaal parappittu

kavizhnthu irangi sevi aattagillaavE.

Here the main point is the birds came down and stood silent and motionless.

Let us continue to see some more paasurams and slokams of bhaagavatham.

Dhasan
