(PT 4.9.4) Located in Mayiladuthurai (Mayavaram), this lovely Divya Desam is known as Thiruvindhaloor. The complete area was a sugantha vanam. Perumal here is known as Parimala Ranagan. Thayar is known as Parimala Ranaganayaki. Chandran got rid of his dosham by worshipping this Perumal. Thirumangai Azhwar had a great anubhavam in this Divya Desam. When the azhwar went to this Divya Desam, the temple door was closed. Azhwar became restless and started to sing on this Divya Desam. The entire pathikam is treated like the conversation between Azhwar and Parimal Ranagan. Azhwar says that if he does not get the darshan of Perumal, Perumal will have to bear all the blame for this. Moreover, Azhwar claims that his goshti is the one that does not look for anything other than Perumal. kaasin oLiyil thigazhum vaNNam kaatteer, emperumaanvaasi valleer indhaLooreer! vaazhnthE pOm neerE! (PT 4.9.4) Azhwar requests Parimala Rangan to show His feet that is more beutiful than the glitter of ornamants. Perumal does not react - a tactic to get more words out of Thirumangai Azhwar as mangalasasanam. Azhwar goes to the extent of scolding Perumal. Usually, this happens one has more love on the other. Azhwar asks Perumal to keep all His beauty to Himself. After listening to all this, Perumal wanted to put an end to this episode, fearing that Azhwar would go back without visiting Him. He gives darshan to Azhwar. We were in this Divya Desam in the early evening. A lovely experience with the darshan of Rangan in sayana thirukkOlam. AdiyArs should definitiely visit this Divya Desam. Times when we get to ruch to this Divya Desam (just before 12 noon or so), we can remember Thirumangai Azhwar's mangalasasanam so that Perumal will defeiniltey wiat for us for some reason or the other. We are winding up the Mayavaram belt now as we return to Kumbakonam and way to Thanjavur. There will be a few more posting before adiyen completes this series. adiyen thanks the readers for their patience. adiyen, ramanan
