An appeal

Dear Devotees,

 

I've been a silent memeber of this groups for the past

two years. I'm extremely thankful for every member of

this group for posting very useful information

regarding Srivaishnavam.

 

I have an appeal to make to you.

 

There is a temple in Krishnagiri, dedicated to Sri

Lakshmi Narasimhar. The temple is very old and the

Moolavar pratishtai is believed to have been done by

Arjuna.

 

The temple remained closed for a long time and covered

with bush and shrubs. About 40 years back, some young

men in the area cleaned up the whole place and started

to performing pooja.

 

Its a treat to see the decorated moolavar. The

bhattars here are also very sincere, eventhough they

dont get much income.

 

Now the temple is run by some local philanthrophists

and donations given by devotees. This temple is also

covered under Tamil Nadu Govt's 'Oru Kaala Poojai'

Scheme, but has not received any funds so far.

 

Sri AMR of Kumudham Jothidam has also written about

this in the magazine dated 13th July 07.

 

During the annual Brahmotsavam in JUne this year, part

of the temple sidewall collapsed due to heavy rains.

 

Now efforts are on for renovating this old temple.

The local trustees of the temple are now collecting

funds for renovation and kumbabishekam of the temple.
