Guest guest
Dear All, We are the end of our journey now. There are a couple of Divya Desams that are left to be visited. Both of them are very special to Thayar than Perumal. The first is the most favourite one for our Kaliyan. thirunaRaiyUr maNimAdam sEArmingaLEA (PT 6.6.1) Known as Thirunaraiyur, this Divya Desam is also called as Srinivasar Kovil locally. Perumal is known as Thirunaraiyur Nambi. Thayar is known as Vanjulavalli Thayar. This Divya Desam is sepcial for Neela Delai Nachiyar. Who else could perform samAshrayanam to our Kaliyan. It was Thirunaraiyur Nambi who did that. Our Kaliyan sang 100 pasurams in Periya Thourmozhi for this Perumal. Kal garudan is very special here. thirunaRaiyUr maNimAdam sEArmingaLEA (PT 6.6.1) It was seen that the chOzha king who was a saivate had redeemed Himself by surrendering at the divine feet of thirunaRaiyUr perumAL. With the divine vAL (sword) he was able to bring under his reign a vast expanse of land. This comprised of the northern region of tamilnadu, the central region and the southern region. This has been brought by AzhwAr by just three words then thamizhan-vada-pulak-kOnE -chOzhan sEarndha -thirunaRaiyUr maNimAdam sEarmingaLE (PT 6.6.5) and again further mentioned in the next pAsuram then-nADAn kuda kongan chOzhan. The fact that the Lord grants wishes of materialistic nature and also great salvation is crystal clear from these pAsurams. Hence, the soul need not go to any others even to attain materialistic desire but fall at the dvine feet of the Lord thirunaRaiyUr maNimADAm sEArmingaLEA. Kaliyan contiues the journey filled with ecstasy as he approaches another lovely Divya Desam. This has more to the speciality of bhAgavathAs than the Perumal himslef. thanchERai yemberumaan thaaLthozhuvaar kaanmin en thalaimElaaRE (PT7.4.1) Known as PanchasAra Kshetram, this lovely Divya Desam is where Perumal is known as Saranathan. Thayar is known as Saranayaki. emperumaan thaaLthozhuvaar eppozhudhum enmanaththE yirukkiNn RaarE (PT 7.4.2) After enjoying the divine beauty of thirunaraiyur nambi, kaliyan in the state of ecstasy unable to control his enthusiasm thinks about the greatness of the bhagavatas who are blessed to enjoy the divine qualities of the lord forever. Kaliyan’s enthusiasm took the form of poetry (paasuram), "kaN sOravenkurudhi". In this pathikam, kaliyan talks about 3 major things, para/vyuha/vibhava leelas of emperuman, the divine beauty of the Thiruchcherai divya desam and primarily the prime aspect- the bhAgavata prabhAvam. emperumAn thaaLthozhuvaar eppozhudhum enmanaththE yirukkiNn RaarE (PT 7.4.2) Those blessed bhagavatas who are ever in the service of that lord, who has that divine piratti who was born in a beautiful lotus in his divine heart and that very lord who as a leela killed the asura in the form of a tree (vilAmaram) with the help of another asura vatsAsuran, in the form of a calf, at all times fill by heart. Emperuman has a capturing walking style and the divya desam thiruchchErai itself is very attracting with sweet smelling gardens and the abode of the lord, the temple is huge but all these didn’t fill the heart of Kaliyan as the greatness of the bhagavatas who are in the service of that thiruchchErai Emperuman is milestones away. adiyen would like to conclude this series by follwoing the footsteps of our Kaliyan in singing on bhAgatha PrabhAvam with the above Divya Desam. adiyen requests all the bhAagavathas to save some time every year and visit these lovely Divya Desams and spend some time comtemplating on our Azhwars' and Acharyas' anubhavams. Thanks again for all your patience, adiyen, ramanan
