Dear Raghunathan,

The book The Festivals and Rituals at Tirumala Temple by Dr. M. S.

Ramesh (Chennai: T.R. Publications, 2000 ISBN 81-85427-95-X) has a

chapter entitled " Adhyayanotsava in Tirumala " pages 171-196) which

discusses the significance of the Pagal Pattu and the Rapattu pasts of

the festival. This may be helpful to you.

Respectfully,

Bob
