Dearest all,

 

After enjoying Him in his mind and immersing in Lord’s

kalyANa guNas, now AzhwAr enjoys asking the mind to

tell and relishes the way the mind telling about the

Lord.

katimathi Lilangkai seRRa

ERRinai, imayam mEya

azhilmaNith thiraLai, inpa

ARRinai amuthan^ thannai

avuNanA ruyirai yuNta

kooRRinai, kuNangkoN tuLLam

kooRun^ee kooRu mARE. 2

 

kaaRRinai- the one who is in-dweller of air;

punalai theeyai- the antharyaami (indweller) in fire

and water

kadimathiL lankai seRRa- the lanka city surrounded by

tall well protected ramparts; [was destroyed by]

yERRinai-the strongest Bull like Lord [sri Rama]

imayam Eya- who is like the golden form (or)

imayam mEya- One who is there right from Thiruppirithi

(in Himalays] in all divya desams

yezhil maNitthiraLai- the garland of precious gem

stone like Lord

inbha aaRinai- the ever flowing flood of Bliss

amudham thannai- the sweetest nectar like Lord

avuNan- HiraNyakasipu’s

aar uyir uNda kooRRinai- dearest life was taken away

by this Lord

guNam koL – Sattva guNa filled and hence acting in

line with

uLLam- oh my mind!

Nee kooRu- You tell me…

Nee kooRum ARu E – What a great way in which You

describe Him! Wow!

 

When the Lord went towards lankA to destroy the same,

the air that brought the fragrance of SitA (vaahi

varadha) hugged and embraced Him; The ocean prostrated

at His Lotus Feet; He burnt the lankA to ashes. Thus

the indweller in everyone and manifesting in

everything, gracefully shows Himself in Dhivya mangaLa

vigraham in many divya desams from Himalayas down to

Kerala everywhere. Like the gem stones impregnated

into the gold, He has entered into the archA murthy.

The One who is so endearing to His asrithars

(devotees), is demi god- death (yama) for

HiraNyakasipu like Rakshasa. Enlisting all thse

wonderful kalyANa guNAs, oh mind, the way you describe

them all is amazing. I enjoy it- says AzhwAr. i.e.

before I begin to utter, you have started, oh mind! I

like it more. Or… You continue the way you have been

doing. Great.
