AzhwAr says: he would not associate himself with such

people who are not devoted to Him;

uLLam O- the mind

onRil nillaadhu – never fixes on one thing;

enthan uLLam – my mind

osaiyin yeri ninRu uNNum koLLi mEl yeRumbu pol- like

the ant that is caught on the wooden piece being burnt

by the noisy fire;

kuzhaiyum – is fickle and confused;

theLLiyeer- Oh bhAgwathas, who have crystal clear

thoughts and minds!

Devarkku ellaam devar aay- God of all Devas and

Nithyasuris

ulagam koNda – ruling the leelA vibhoothi (the Cosmic

Universe)

oLLiyeer – thEjaswee! (Resplendent One)

yezhumaiyum – for ever- (all seven births or births

again and again)

ummai allaal- other than You

thuNai ilOm- we would not consider anyone else to save

us. (as sakaa- friend.- Apath sakaa)

 

The stage in which AzhwAr ended Periya Thirumozhi

still continues. When AzhwAr is filled with only His

anubhavam, AzhwAr still feels bad that his mind goes

somewhere else and is fickle. Why does he say? Because

he was talking about the bhagawathas and then

subsequently he mentioned about those who are not

devoted to Him and are wasting their lives. He feels

bad that he is wasting life thinking about these

useless people. That’s the reason for mind going

astray.

 

He is the Deva of Devas. Devaadhi raajan; Deva devan.

 

Yezhumaiyum- all seven births- He does not want to be

born; but if at all, he is born,- azhwar says, in all

births- the lord alone is my companion, redemption.

Hence, why wait for future births?- right now- You can

rid me of all births. nacha punaraavartthathE..
