Then added -- Is it that she heard about the 'beauty personification' of the male person so as to fall in love? NO sirs and madams, It is all about the 'characteristics' of the person - 'guNam' or in plural 'guNaah'." Then I also added, "In that first LOVE LETTER of the world, she starts straight away that letter "sruthvaa guNaan bhuvana sundharaa" – hey first I heard about your characteristics only, but I also guess you are beauty personified – so I address you as "bhuvana sundharaa". But why She addressed her lover krishNa as 'bhuvana sundhara' – is it without realizing that she also heard about the 'beauty personification' of that person krishNa as "bhuvana sundharan". No sirs, it is with full realization of his beauty. When one is hit by a wave – let it be a wave of 'water' while standing on the waterline in a seashore or a wave of love, he is under its influence for some time. Meanwhile, if a bigger wave hits him or her, immediately the effect or impact of the first wave is lost and the effect of the second one or the bigger one only lasts. After withdrawing oneself, and calming then all are recollected. Similar situation is here also with rukmiNi. In the same way in the 'kaadhal mayakkam', intoxication due to love of krishNa - having heard his beauty and the characteristics, she missed that point of beauty straight away, saying hey I have heard about your guNam and fallen in love, then I realized I heard about your beauty also and that is why addressed you 'bhuvana sundhara'. Is it that way? Or is it on the compulsion of addressing the receiver while writing a letter? May be this also. But why should she talk of the beauty of krishNa. Why not address in general as 'my lord' or 'priyE' or some such thing. For an young lady, she is conscious of the 'hearings' on beauty of her lover, but when the 'sayings' on characteristics took over those prevailed and second became the priority for beauty. That is all about that. So now you got it? Now the exact slokam -- sruthvaa guNaan bhuvana sundhara sruNvathaam thE nirvisya karNa vivarair harathO~anga thaapam | roopam dhrusaam dhrusimathaam akhila arthha laabham thvayi achyutha aavisathi chiththam apathrapam mE || 10-52-37 Srimath BhAgavatham: Canto X Meaning: Hearing about Thy virtues, which entering into the hearer's heart through the ear, generates bliss in the person's whole being, and hearing also about the beauty of Thy form, which fulfills the highest expectations of one's sense of sight, My mind, Oh AchyuthA, has entered into Thee, overcoming all feeling of bashfulness " . The meaning above is taken from our respected Sadagopan swamy's earlier article. Another meaning of same slokam from another author – taken from internet – "O beauty of the worlds, having heard of Your qualities, which enter the hearts of those who hear and remove their bodily distress, and having also heard of Your beauty, which fulfills all the visual desires of those who see, I have fixed my shameless mind upon You, O KrishNa". Now we will see the naaraayaNa theertha version of rukmiNi's addressing – gadhyam style - RukmiNyaah pathrikaa lEkhana prakaarah – SreemathE, sathyakaama, sathya sankalpa, sarva kaama, sarva rasa, sarva gandha, sarva sankalpa aadhi guNavathE, kruthaakrutha, maadhruma, anaadhi, bEdha binna, sakala jagath aadhaara, avabaasakaaya, nishprathyooha, nithya nirathisaya aanandha, aanandhitha, brahmaa aadhi sakala janimathE, visva vaisvaanara aadhi sakala naama roopa nirvaahakaaya, saarvagna, sarva sakthi samanvithaaya, sarva antharyaamiNE, dhushTa nigraha sishTa paripaalakaaya, bhaktha anukampaaya, parigruheetha gOpa kumara bhaavaaya, karacharaNa naLina vilasitha dhvaja vajraankusa aadhi rEkhaa anumitha mahaa purusha lakshaNaaya, kanaka maNimaya makara kuNdala ghataka kati soothra angadha aadhi dhivya bhooshaNa bhooshithaaya bhaktha jana kaamitha kaamavarshi, mahaamEgha, neela mEgha, samujvalitha vidhyuth bhunja kalpa, dhivya peethaambara dhhariNE, sree vathsa kousthubhaadhi sObhithaaya dheena dhayaa para moorthayE sree krishNaaya sathakruthvah sahasra kruthvath cha namO namah -- See the description – it is only the initial address – the 'bhuvana sundhara' of sreemadh bhaagavatham – it sounds as though it is another 'ashtOthram' – krishNa ashtOthram - by rukmiNi – or is it by naraayana theertha to krishNa – in the garb of rukmiNi – that is the real bhakthaa.
