Guest guest
Dear sri vaishNava perunthagaiyeer, Sree naaraayaNa theertha gives a beautiful krithi in saavEri raagam [which I mentioned in previous post]. Here is the krithi. In this rukmiNee conveys to the lord krishNa that she has fixed her mind on Him as her husband and expresses her prEma bhakthi – by praising him loftily - pallavi rE rE maanasa gOpaalam bhaja dhoorE parihara bhoopaalam [rE rE] dhoorE – boundless parihara – carry or take around anupallavi aaraadh anthara dhharam akila aathmaka bOdha aanandha ganam baalam [rE rE] aaraadh anthara – woshipping from inner bOdha – knowing charaNam 1 vimala hrudhaya kamala udhaaram vEdha samitha vividha vishaya aakaaram kamaneeya dhhara karuNaa saaram sarva sama bhaava bhaava mahaa udhaaram [rE rE] samitha – prepared or made ready kamaneeya –desirable udhaaram- exalted sama –equal charaNam 2 saama aadhi nigama antha sanchaaram dheera dhheemadh anusmrutha suguNa akaaram sama rasa mEgham anantham ananvayam amitha niranthara sukha saagaram [rE rE] dhheemadh – intelligent amitha – limitless charaNam 3 jagath aNda kOti para aakaasam sarva nigama antha vidhitha svaprakaasam agaNitha guNa maNi vaak- eesam dhEvam aagama roopa nija aadhEsam [rE rE] agaNitha – countless aadhEsam – advice or order charaNam 4 vigaLitha mOhaja bhava paasam visva mangaLa krutha thanum akila eesam bhagavantham aadhi gurum sivam adhvaya chith gaganam navaneetha aasam [rE rE] vigaLitha – drained off aasa – food thanu - body charaNam 5 sundhara dhhara muraLee naadham muni brundha vichinthya sundhara paadham nandha thanayam akila aanandham saradh indhu vadhanam iha gOvindham [rE rE] saradh – the saradh rithu – rainy season charaNam 6 brundhaavana hitha gO brundham dhrutha mandharam akila nigama gandham nandha sunandha aadhi vandhyam ananyaka naaraayaNa theertha yathi varadham [rE rE] dear readers, see what - a wave of love towards the lord - from a devotee NT - a wave of praising of krishNa, her would be husband, by his lady love - pouring out the poet's heart and by that way expressing the lover's heart also. When falling in love on a person – that too after knowing him as a great one – it is but natural to praise him sky high or elevate him to great heights. That is what is reflected in this krithi. Also see the simple language – where I felt a bit difficult - I added the word meaning. Oh, what a grand krithi. Enjoy that wave of love andkrishNa bhakthi – we will continue in next post.
