We saw rukmiNee also justifying her selection of her lover – "kEttadhaal vandha kaadhalai" justifying. Ok, after that – see next slokam – she says 'please accept me'.

 

thanmE bhavaan khalu vrutha: pathir anga jaayaam

aathmaa arpithasccha bhavathO~thra vibhO vidhhEhi |

maa veera bhaagam abhimarsathu chaidhya aaraadh

gOmaayuvan mrugha pathEr balim ambhuja aksha ||

 

meaning: " I (rukmiNee) have therefore chosen thee (krishNaa) as my husband and have offered myself to thee, oh, all-pervading one! Design to accept me as thy wife. O Lotus-eyed one! Do not allow the king of chEdhi to take me away, who is a property of thine. It would otherwise be like a jackal attempting to carry away the fare of the lion " .

 

See the way the love message is conveyed – oral or written immaterial - it is done in a true business like manner or like a commercial transaction – perhaps business or human resource management experts have to learn on 'how to conduct business or how to recruit a person' from rukmiNee's love letter and her marriage for

 

– any business is done in following steps --

 

first hear about a person or product

compare the merits and demerits about that person or product with other such

analyse and compare with self merits

assess the needs

then check whether it is really required by me

decide to buy or sell or recruit

while selling or buying initially make an offer

check whether offer is acceptable to other

then check on the time for completion of the transaction

indicate or decide the probable venue or location where transaction could take place

while transaction is taking place what are the obstructions likely before completion of same – or analyse 'risks' - to state same as a jargon.

Similarly krishNa also heard about her – as confirmed by him to the braahmaNa

What about me – I am also a 'kulavathee' – 'kanyaa'

Yes – I need him – as much he also needs me – for he also says 'I am not getting sleep in the night having heard about her'

Make an offer – thru the braahmaNa – thru the love letter, [which is our topic]

While making offer – add 'pep' or 'sales' talks – hey me – who is your property - a special for you - kept ready for you

Added risk – king of chEdhi and others may oppose and pick up a war + my own brother

Also 'fix the time' for the business – marriage is likely to take place tomorrow - so if you want me, do or act fast

Where – the venue is – the ambikaa temple – where I will come, from there you can take me

Proper execution – yes – as we all know krishNa came took her an then went to dhvaaraka – had a proper marriage celebration.

Result – the lord and dhEvi – the made for each other – united.

May be the exact 'commercial price'aspect is missing – since she herself is the 'goddess of wealth' 'mahaa lakshmee' – the offer 'price' is 'priceless'.

meaning: [as done by sri Sadagopan swamy of USA] ANDAL declares to kAman that if there is any talk of marrying her off to a human, she will not live any more. She makes her determination known to him thus: I have surrendered my body and soul to dvArakA nAthan; if any talk arises about making these belong to a human being, it would be equivalent to a forest fox smelling and licking the prasadam which has been offered to the devAs. Do not let this kind of apacAram happen anytime. If this untoward incident ever happens, I will not bear my life even for a second after that. Even you who are born to the Lord cannot tolerate this injustice. So, before anyone even so much as starts talking of marrying me off to a human without my knowledge or my Lord KaNNan's knowledge, please unite me with that Sankha-cakra dhAri.

 

Only a slight difference – rukmiNee said the food is kept for 'lion' – whereas aaNdaal says food is for dhEvaas, being offered in the yaagam being conducted by braahmaNas.

 

Note again – braahmaNa 'comes' in the love affair.
