Guest guest Posted February 24, 2008 Report Share Posted February 24, 2008 TTD approves Rs.1925 crore budget TIRUPATI, Feb.24, 2008 (TIRUPATITIMES.COM) The Trust Board of Tirumala Tirupati Devesthanams (TTD) which manages the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara, richest in the country, at Tirumala near here on Sunday has approved a Rs. 1925 crore budget for the fiscal year 2008-09. Of this total collections, the temple hundi offerings made by millions of devotees from different parts of the country and abroad alone has been expected to net Rs.425 core during the period, TTD Board Chairman, Mr. B. Karunakara Reddy and the TTD Executive officer Mr. KV.Ramanachary told the Media on the hills this afternoon. The sale of different types of temple rituals tickets and the special entry darshan tickets has been estimated to fetch about Rs.100 crore and the sale of laddu prasadams would amount to Rs.40 crore while the auction of human hair offerings would be about Rs. 100 crore, they said.
