Guest guest
The Mystic Magic of VENU The Cud Chewing Animal which forgot to Graze Let us visualise a rustic picture. A deer is leisurely resting in a shade and slowly enjoying its food. This is the food it brings back to its mouth, chews slowly and steadily masticates and thoroughly cherishes and relishes the food, it had hurriedly took into its mouth sometime back. This is the nature of the cud chewing animal. Imagine an animal which was just taking its food in. Suddenly it got into a trance. Not able to comperehend what is happening, it stood still like foto. It forgot to graze its food. The grass is hanging out from its mouth , half inside and half out. The deer appears to be lifeless. The eyes are fixed and the ears are sharp and focussed. It is picture perfect like a still foto derived from a moving one.Ths happened about 5000 and odd years ago in Vrindhavan. The sweet and divine music from none other than Sri KrshNA's flute falls on its ears. It is moved to the extent that it became inanimate. The living creature becomes a portrait. This is the effect of the music of Sri KrshNA on even such animals, what to say of human beings. This portray of the effect can be narrated and picturised only by those who had the divne vision of the past. It is PeriyAzvAr who gives us this in a silver salver. maruNDa mAn gaNangaL mEAigai maRandhu, mEAindha pullum kadai vAi vazhi sORa, ezhudhu chithiram pOla ninRanavEA..' PeriyazvAr Thriumzohi 4-6. Recent reports suggest that music can increae the milk yield. I do not know whether we can correlate this to that, but the lifeless picture of these gifting milk to us still haunts my mind again and again.. dasan vanamamalai padmanabhan
